jbperry: Bullwhacky Jerry, it has zero to do with power losses using magnet-to-magnet fields against each other at the gap which is located on a lever arm to the shaft for mechanical advantage.

The infinitysav is a nuanced machine and uses hysteresis against the magnets for motion, the megawatt uses magnet-to-magnet to be sparkless, a key concern they're sold to explosives users globally.

Separate mechanical advantage from power losses.

You are in error to mix them, fantasy physics, unprovable assumptions are agenda not science, you can buy these.

@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperrySince It’s off the page now, I’ll repeat what I asked last night so people will see it: I would be willing to write a series of long articles for maximum jailbreak over this summer, if I know that there are other people who are taking it seriously and willing to put in effort to try to make it a successful media project. Is there anyone else who is willing to commit to write articles regularly, even if they are short?21:10:59

@outbound:matrix.orgoutbound I'll write. Count me in. 01:39:07
@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperryGreat! Any others?02:24:03
@tmallard:matrix.orgtmallardNot with people whose belief systems overcome reality, the magnet powered motors referred to are commercial products and prove the physics fallacy of demanding levers, specifically 2nd Clasz ones, re directly tied to power losses04:08:39

Awesome @jbperry:matrix.org and @outbound:matrix.org ! This is great to hear!
What suzi.bianco said. Thanks, guys!

@drbriefs:matrix.orgsean FYI, I'm still MIA attending to family visiting from out-of-country. Will likely miss tomorrow's coral meeting 19:29:13

@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperryWe still need to find someone willing to do some editing, since giulioprisco isn't doing that anymore15:26:59

@cagonzalez8:matrix.orgCarlos Gonzalez-Rivera Who's giulioprisco?? And jbperry would you like the articles specifically pertaining to Coral or anything in STEM in general? 12:05:55
@cagonzalez8:matrix.orgCarlos Gonzalez-Rivera*pertain12:06:18
@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperryGiulio Prisco was the editor of maximum jailbreak back in January. Suzi tells me that he shot down a bunch of article ideas and then left. I’m thinking anything related to astronomy or space technology would work. I’m planning on doing an in-depth look at the fermi paradox from the perspective of deductive reasoning. (You can see from the success of youtubers like Isaac Arthur and John Michael Godier that there is a fairly large appetite for this kind of content.)13:56:06
@outbound:matrix.orgoutboundI'll brainstorm some topics and get back to you.14:05:40

@jbperry:matrix.org I didn't say that exactly... But the effect was pretty much the same.

@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperry suzi.bianco: sorry, I guess I misinterpreted 20:10:41

@cagonzalez8:matrix.orgCarlos Gonzalez-RiveraLol either the Fermi paradox has indeed been blowing up on my youtube feed22:23:54
@cagonzalez8:matrix.orgCarlos Gonzalez-RiveraI'm down with the topic. Will there be malasadas?22:24:22
@cagonzalez8:matrix.orgCarlos Gonzalez-RiveraOn another, I have 2 leads on high school students open to the idea of becoming our Social Media PR rep, and Admin assistant22:27:04

Nice! We should probably get on that at some point to solicit a PM for coral

@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperrySo, I’ve finished the first part of my Fermi paradox series for maximum jailbreak. Like here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o9-41s5AG9B8MbH9eOp7jQgGbCzGW8tnKAgdavO5DFM/edit?usp=sharing23:10:31
@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperry(I meant to say link here)23:12:15
@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperrySince no one has volunteered to be editor, maybe we could work out some kind of peer editing system?23:27:50

@outbound:matrix.orgoutbound I think that's what we'll need to do. 02:07:06
@yalda:matrix.orgstellarmagnetHey @all long time no talk! Have been so deep in the software development and trying to meet deadlines that I have not had the mental bandwidth to participate in the community. I’d like to change that and finally start dedicating weekend time to Space Decentral! I’ll try to start with taking on the editing role here. I’d also like to have more regular meetings. I’ve moved to Berlin, so USA nights don’t work. How about we get some regular Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon US meeting on the calendar?06:36:06
@yalda:matrix.orgstellarmagnetRedacted or Malformed Event06:36:25
@jbperry:matrix.orgjbperryI can gaurentee that I'll be up by 8am (central time US), but that is probably still too early for people on pacific time.12:26:00

@yalda:matrix.orgstellarmagnet@room Here is a doodle poll to determine a time for a biweekly Space Decentral sync (every other weekend): https://doodle.com/poll/sqrbu2c44nay5bci16:28:24
