Now, when we open a website and place the cursor over the first letter of a paragraph, NVDA reads that line; note: it stops if it encounters a link in the sentence. To read the next sentence, we need to reposition the cursor at the first letter of the next sentence. If Rosa's problem was simply limited ability to recognize text, this would work for her; she does have sufficient visual acuity to find the beginning of each new line of text. BUT, the more challenging and painful part of her problem is that working hard to focus is not only tiring, it gives her bad headaches. Is there any way to configure NVDA to keep reading - at least a full paragraph? We tried using the down arrow, but that moves us to other parts of the webpage, e.g., the ads - but not to the next line of text. Sorry if I'm asking for too much support. Keep pressing H to navigate between the headings of the webpage. In some websites you will find it from the first time, in others you need to navigate between the headings to find it. When you reach the article heading you can use the shortcut NVDA key plus the down arrow key. Like this, nvda will start reading everything. Note, the NVDA key is the insert or the capslock key it depends whether you have a laptop or a desktop. | 17:24:49 |

| @gitter_mmiron-hc:matrix.org | good afternoon, We use NVDA to test in both French and English pages, we've noticed the following: When we test French pages where the lang attribute is properly set (lang=”fr”) with NVDA, it sometimes reads the French content in English as if it is an English page. However, once we start interacting with the page (using tab/arrow keys) it will read the content properly in French.
For example, when testing a French Web Chat with NVDA in Chrome, when incoming messages are received, NVDA seems to announce the messages in English despite the sent messages being in French (using the French interface). However, when users navigate between the messages in the Chat history window using Tab and arrow keys, NVDA reads them properly in French. Not sure why this is happening.
I have the following settings under Preferences in NVDA.
General: Language: User default
Speech : Voice: English

Across all browsers with NVDA the need for the key combination of Control plus Enter is needed to trigger the button. Although, the code is checking for the enter key to process futher. Accommodating the space bar requires the control key as well. I am wondering if anyone has noticed this before. Any chance using my work VPN might be causing this. It is very strange.
