Zero0 | Hey guys. I was wondering. (its off topic you can tell me to leave if you want) Any of your guys familar with LBRY or Odysee? and if so I was wanting to chat about it. | 22:04:55 |
@hasfurr:matrix.org | In reply to @lomanic:matrix.org https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/issues/4566 Thank you | 22:05:36 |

k-man | I've been trying to get invidious to run under podman rootless. I followed this guide https://github.com/iv-org/documentation/blob/master/docs/community-installation-guide.md#podman-rootless-container and can get the container to run from the cli, but when I try and run it from the systemd unit, it fails to start. - see https://paste.rs/90XXR
| 23:33:28 |
k-man | any ideas how to diagnose further? I see in the systemd logs "container died" | 23:34:28 |

DaKnig | In reply to @samantazfox:pussthecat.org https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Caching isn;t that only relevant to web frontends? if I have a bunch of channels to update I still need to send a bunch of requests to keep em updated? | 06:01:48 |
absidue | In reply to @daknig:matrix.org isn;t that only relevant to web frontends? if I have a bunch of channels to update I still need to send a bunch of requests to keep em updated? Invidious doesn't save information for channels unless you are subscribed with an Invidious account on that instance (which you've previously mentioned that you don't want to do) and even then the only way for Invidious to know if anything changed is to fetch information from YouTube again. | 06:17:36 |

Samantaz Fox | AudricV do you have a NewPipe export with some watch history handy? It's for testing. | 16:55:41 |
Samantaz Fox | I have two exports, but both miss a watch history :/ | 16:55:58 |
AudricV | No, but you can create one yourself :) | 16:56:25 |
Samantaz Fox | My phone isn't new enough to install a modern version of NewPipe ^^> | 16:59:37 |

AudricV | Android emulators work too :) | 17:12:09 |
Samantaz Fox | In reply to @thefrenchghosty:pussthecat.org Invidious development phone when When I decide what to get, and then find the time to flash a ROM on that. Given that the last ROM I flashed was probably a CyanogenMod on an old Samsung Galaxy... | 17:20:18 |
Samantaz Fox | (what to get as a daily driver first*) | 17:20:38 |
Samantaz Fox | In reply to @tia4f8r:matrix.org Android emulators work too :) Haven't touched those in a decade... Mind to give a hint? | 17:21:00 |
TheFrenchGhosty | In reply to @samantazfox:pussthecat.org When I decide what to get, and then find the time to flash a ROM on that. Given that the last ROM I flashed was probably a CyanogenMod on an old Samsung Galaxy... I mean... we discussed getting iphone for reverse engineering with the cryptocurrencies... we could discuss getting android phone | 17:22:55 |
AudricV | In reply to @samantazfox:pussthecat.org Haven't touched those in a decade... Mind to give a hint? Google provide official emulators, they can be installed without Android Studio normally (though you will probably have to agree to their conditions) | 17:31:32 |
AlexPewMaster (moved to @alexpewmaster:reallyaweso.me) | In reply to @samantazfox:pussthecat.org Haven't touched those in a decade... Mind to give a hint? Take a look at Waydroid, this could work for your use cases | 17:31:43 |
TheFrenchGhosty | In reply to @tia4f8r:matrix.org Google provide official emulators, they can be installed without Android Studio normally (though you will probably have to agree to their conditions) You agree to some TOS when you install ADB... so I guess it's the full TOS when you install an android emulator | 17:32:35 |
