are files uploaded as text or compressed?
that depends on your client. The server should handle gzip and deflate
16:37:09
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgthe standard web client?16:37:33
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz FoxNo, I haven't tested it, but I looked at the code, and I can tell that we only extract the ?v=id part of it.16:37:46
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz FoxAnd no, it can't be done client side, because invidious is mostly JS free16:38:06
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz Foxthat's defeat that purpose16:38:10

@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgwell I am not arguing, just thought we could improve the lives of users16:40:40
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz Foxyou can use all invidious features without JS16:40:48
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz FoxBut that won't improve mine xD16:41:01
