morguldir | In reply to @tadzik:tadzik.net I don't see any indication that they're planning to write a mesa driver for it
we need to add things like a Mesa Vulkan driver, similar to how we have RADV for AMD
From the redhat post, but theoretically nvidia doesn’t need to do anything for that | 13:40:17 |
tadzik | ah, I possibly misunderstood the "they", I thought there's a notion that nvidia will be building a mesa driving, which I very much doubt will happen :P | 15:37:31 |
morguldir | It was probably referring to NVIDIA, but yeah it will most likely come from the community and then NVIDIA will probably contribute later, like with RADV | 15:57:43 |
TheNamelessWonderer | In reply to @tadzik:tadzik.net I don't see any indication that they're planning to write a mesa driver for it https://linuxactionnews.com/240 I think it was said in this podcast. There is a red hat developer talking about it. | 16:01:36 |

Escamocha | So, what have you been playing recently?
Any recommendations?
As for me, I have been playing a lot of Doom 2 with the corruption cards mod, it's really good. | 15:14:41 |
tadzik | I've tried Elden Ring and beat Dying Light 2 recently. I've liked the latter quite a bit more, frankly | 15:23:06 |
tadzik | never played corruption cards, sounds intriguing | 15:23:21 |
Escamocha | In reply to @tadzik:tadzik.net never played corruption cards, sounds intriguing It gives you a choice of 3 cards at the start of every level, they change enemy behavior, add new hazards to the level among other things, can get pretty challenging depending on which cards you choose. | 15:44:42 |

tadzik | hm, reminds me of a game that used this concept | 15:46:38 |
Escamocha | Do you remember which one? Sounds interesting. | 15:50:39 |
tadzik | trying to, but failing :P I've seen it in Back 4 Blood recently, but it wasn't very game-changing then | 15:50:56 |
tadzik | maybe Hand of Fate? I think cards basically defined what your next "map" would be like, picking encounters etc | 15:51:24 |
Escamocha | I have heard of it, I'll probably give it a try. | 15:53:07 |
tadzik | I haven't played a lot of it but I remember playing it, so it must have left an impression :P I think the combat system was so-so but the formula of cards defining the encounters was pretty fun. And they made a sequel at some point, | 15:56:44 |

Escamocha | Yeah, just checked it out, seems very fun, I'll definitely add it to my wishlist along with the sequel. | 16:04:30 |
Escamocha | I'm also tempted to get blasphemous, now that it's on sale. | 16:06:07 |
