@sudoreboot:matrix.orgsudoreboot (now @sudoreboot:feneas.org)Welcome! Yeah FOIP is broken because webcams seem to not work with WINE. VOIP is unconfirmed but I haven't been able to make it work personally15:37:31
@sudoreboot:matrix.orgsudoreboot (now @sudoreboot:feneas.org)Other than that it runs great15:37:45
@geotom:matrix.orggeotomok...good to know. Might be that the company behind has only a windows programm which is integrated into SC...interesting to know which parts a portable and which not. Certain things might later become an obstacle, for istance game middleware bought/used from other partners while the game engine/3d stuff probably is easy to port15:40:09
@sudoreboot:matrix.orgsudoreboot (now @sudoreboot:feneas.org)Aye, middleware is typically the culprit for portability issues, though WINE is pretty good at handling any kind of software as long as it doesn't try running deep in the system like anti-cheat. The FOIP issue may just be because of webcams not working with WINE in general. Hope that gets resolved at some point15:42:57
@geotom:matrix.orggeotomThe only problem I still have under linux is that the NVIDIA driver does always switch into performance mode when more than 2 displays are connected to the computer. But 99% percent of the time this is my work computer and I do not like to have a GPU running on its fastest mode...really stupid and I don't know any other practical solution for that beside an extra windows installation16:46:33
@sudoreboot:matrix.orgsudoreboot (now @sudoreboot:feneas.org) Can't that be configured in the nvidia settings? 17:05:51
@geotom:matrix.orggeotomNo...I need to add settings to my xorg.conf to force it to be in the quiet mode, but that locks it to this specific mode and the gpu can't switch to a higher mode...really stupid limitation of the NVIDIA driver17:16:58
@geotom:matrix.orggeotomotherwise I would use my linux already for playing SC17:17:59

@darkeye:matrix.orgdarkeyeif we are talking about linux ... does any body else feels that theres more crashes in 3.5 compare to 3.4.3? (well under linux is suppose... I didn't try running it under windows :P)13:34:27
@sudoreboot:matrix.orgsudoreboot (now @sudoreboot:feneas.org)I haven't gotten around to try it yet since the patch14:09:34
