Hey guys, I think you really should consider the syscoin network. Much cheaper to create the token and also for maid holders to move and exchange the old tokens for new ones.
And with syscoin bridge, maid would be on both networks, syscoin and ethereum erc-20, so exchanges could choose to install the ERC-20 wallet or the syscoin one (or even both).
Binance is going to do that with its BUSD. And if binance does, probably other exchanges would do the same soon.
Syscoin developers would be really happy to support you.
Even for marketing purposes, it would be better because it would have the help of syscoin community and it's something different, not only to create another ERC-20 more...

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <gorrion> Good idea!! šŸ’” 11:02:08
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> If there would be a good overview of both for syscoin and normal erc20 conversion with pros and cons I think the community can do a proper vote once more. If this does indeed help with gas fees but keeps the abilities of erc20 and DeFi listings, wallet supports and easy exchange listings why not. 11:05:09
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> Hey guys, @cryptozgz invited me in to discuss Syscoin. I am one of the Foundation Members. So if you have any questions feel free to ask and will be happy to answer. If we can come up with a solution that fits best for you chain, awesome! If not, no worries at all, just here to offer another solution. 12:01:45

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> How many are already listed on Syscoin, what are the benefits over normal erc20 token, if MAID were to go with sys how does it work with smart contracts? 12:33:42
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> So basically we have a bridge that is trust minimised, with no need of any 3rd party intervention. It allows the best of both worlds. Once the bridge is setup you can move between chains, to use the ethereum side for smart contracts etc, and for scaling, point of sale, fast tps - we've been audited and are capable of 60k tps w/ bursts of 140k+ in main net. 13:46:25
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> A list of coins that have the bridge setup can be viewed here. 13:46:41

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> We are POW merged mined and are currently #2 in highest hashrate, BTC being the first. So we have high security provided by POW. 13:47:50

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> I see the main reason for wanting change is to get onboarded on more exchanges by utilising erc20 standard tokens.

So id say Create an Erc20, mint your tokens, create a bridge and use both depending on what your needs

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> And what would be the catch to use sys? Would you receive fees or commision in what kind of form? 15:48:02
@nicola:privacytools.ionicola 20:58:46
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> No catches in terms of commission, just offering another solution. If it doesn't fit your model that's no problem at all.

Masternodes/miners run on the network do get a 50/50 split of fees for SPTs(syscoin platform tokens) being used, but those fees are tiny. You can check out the site below for fee savings;

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> Just know that I'm not representing Maidsafe, these are just my personal main questions, that might help out others who are reading along.
Best solution for you would be to make a topic on Safenetforum.org

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [dc] <šŸ›”BigPoppa> No worries at all mate. Will post a topic in regards. 00:07:37

@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> Hey guys, I still receive this message after re-installing the whole SAFE CLI and adding shared-section.
[2020-08-19T05:25:53Z ERROR safe] safe-cli error: Failed to connect: [Error] ConnectionError - Failed to connect to the SAFE Network: Unexpected("Connection timed out when bootstrapping to the network")
06:15:23
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> creating an account doesn't work either,
020-08-19T05:23:24Z ERROR safe] safe-cli error: [Error] NetDataError - Failed to allocate test coins: Unexpected: Connection timed out when bootstrapping to the network - CoreError::Unexpected::{"Connection timed out when bootstrapping to the network"}
06:16:20
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> Is this due to the shared-section ONLY allowing routers with IGD? 06:17:47
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> I thought this was only for hosting a vault but not connecting 06:18:13
@safenetworkbot:matrix.orgSAFE Network Bridge [tg] <ThreeSteps> Okay so it DOES work with local-network (baby-fleming), will just develop on there for now! 06:25:37
