loic.le_guen | I will maybe ask Element about this then, but would the membership list will be hidden if the join rule is set to knock ? | 13:09:11 |
Olivier 'reivilibre' | not from people who have joined the room at least, no | 13:11:45 |
Olivier 'reivilibre' | I think it's hidden from people who are not in it | 13:12:00 |
loic.le_guen | yeah this is what i would like to know | 13:12:14 |
Olivier 'reivilibre' | with {"history_visibility": "joined"} then I'm pretty sure knock should be fine :) | 13:12:45 |
loic.le_guen | Ok, then i will be patuently waiting for the UI update 😁 | 13:13:29 |
loic.le_guen | * Ok, then i will be patiently waiting for the UI update 😁 | 13:13:36 |
clokep | I think element has been working on knocking recently? | 13:52:53 |
clokep | Not sure if that includes knocking on spaces though. | 13:53:10 |

loic.le_guen | Apparently creating knocking for space is not a priority... | 13:55:51 |
loic.le_guen | To me, it's quite surprising than this features is not set on the priority list, i would easily trade the /snowfall for the knock feature haha | 14:06:10 |
clokep | Isn’t that a comment from a random contributor? I might be thinking of the EX apps though. | 14:06:17 |
clokep | In reply to @loic.le_guen:matrix.org To me, it's quite surprising than this features is not set on the priority list, i would easily trade the /snowfall for the knock feature haha That’s not a fair comparison… | 14:06:35 |
loic.le_guen | you are right, i was joking | 14:06:50 |
loic.le_guen | yes I might have misinterpreted this | 14:08:55 |

dvtrast | Hello.
Is there an option to set the language of the mails send from matrix? | 15:07:22 |
dvtrast | * Hello.
Is there an option to set the language of the mails send from matrix? Or are they always in english? | 15:07:39 |
Ricardo Duarte | This is probably better in Synapse Admins room. The emails sent can be defined here https://element-hq.github.io/synapse/latest/usage/configuration/config_documentation.html#email and https://element-hq.github.io/synapse/latest/templates.html | 15:09:00 |
dvtrast | Ok - thanks. In both mentioned doku´s I´m unable to find the answer | 15:10:01 |
Andrew Morgan (anoa) {he/him} [@ FOSDEM] | dvtrast see the documentation on templates. Synapse uses template files for its emails. You can swap out the default ones for custom templates written in a separate language.
Note that you'll only be able to support one language per server - templates aren't scoped to a user or group of users (yet).

agaj | Hi everyone,
I’m implementing matrix client (using matrix-js-sdk), but I’ve encountered an issue which is well described here: https://github.com/element-hq/element-meta/issues/2421
Is there any workaround for this "unable to decrypt" issue?
Do I understand correctly that adding the "dehydrated device" will resolve this issue?
What is the current status of dehydrated devices when using rust crypto? Is it ready to be used?

Emma [it/its] | wrong room, go to #matrix-dev:matrix.org, or in this case #e2e:matrix.org probably? | 09:01:31 |
Emma [it/its] | this room is solely for development of the synapse homeserver itself | 09:02:08 |
agaj | ok, thanks | 09:02:22 |
