@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <smk762> Hi @CryptoviewingDick if you DM the address, we can have a look (never give anyone your seed tho) and see if it was hacked/secured. You can check the address at https://komodod.com/ If it has no balance or transactions, there might be an error with your seed.01:20:18
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoViewing> How do I check the address if I don't have the address? I only have the seed words.05:04:09
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <smk762> the address you got when you entered the seed words - does it have any transaction history?05:19:23
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <smk762> I think we spoke bfore, I assisted you after the hack and recall the videos you made at the time05:21:43
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <smk762> the address you got when you entered the seed words - does it have any transaction history? There should be a "receive" button, wheich when clicked will show the address05:22:27
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <smk762> If there is no transaction history, it is likely the seed phrase is incorrect. Normally this is due to improper capitalisation (everything should be lowercase), misspelling (double check all words) or an extra space at the start, end or inbetween words (should be no spaces at strat/end, and a single space between words)05:24:23

@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <smk762> It might be simpler to enter your seed via the desktop version of atomicDEX here - https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/atomicDEX-Pro/releases mobiles are a bit fiddly when entering so much text. direct links - https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/atomicDEX-Pro/releases/download/0.2.0-alpha/atomicdex-pro-0.2.0-alpha-linux.tar.gz (Linux) https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/atomicDEX-Pro/releases/download/0.2.0-alpha/atomicdex-pro-0.2.0-alpha-macos.dmg (Mac) https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/atomicDEX-Pro/releases/download/0.2.0-alpha/atomicdex-pro-0.2.0-alpha-windows.zip (Windows) Alternatively, any 3rd party wallet that supports KMD should also work for entering seed to get address. If holding a substantial amount of any crypto long term, I highly recommend using a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor.05:41:34

@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> @CryptoViewing do you have the old agama wallet installed on your system?16:27:37
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> @CryptoviewingDick ^16:27:48
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> smk762 Thanks for your assistance. I reconstituted the Atomic DEX wallet on a desktop, being careful to type in the seed words correctly. It shows zero balance. I clicked the receive and got the wallet address, but no history show.16:28:18
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> gcharang, I do not have the old agama wallet. I think it was on a mobile device, an iPhone. I upgraded the phone. So, no I do not have any Agama wallet. I have only my records, which show the seed words and the PW.16:29:31
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> At this point I have no idea if the hackers stole all my tokens. Or whether Komodo took them off for safe keeping. And I have no idea how to find out which happened.16:30:12
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> A record of this must be on the blockchain somewhere.16:30:24
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> smk762, I purchased two Ledger Nano X wallets, which support Komodo. But how do I enter my Agama seed words to connect Ledger to my lost tokens?16:31:36
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> > And I have no idea how to find out which happened. > the most likely things that are happening are, either you are mistyping your seed words from your backup or your backup is wrong. if you can share the address being generated , I can verify if the mistake is a wrong seed by checking the address on an explorer16:33:16
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> Here is the address: RE8b83bAkrpvTGXCJ1nkhKtF4QSRwEDrmr16:34:05
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> And now I have a stupid question. If I open an Atomic DEX wallet and type in a bunch of gibberish (or incorrect) words, will it create a wallet?16:34:55
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> https://kmdexplorer.io/address/RE8b83bAkrpvTGXCJ1nkhKtF4QSRwEDrmr this address doesn't have any transactions. it means that, either your seed words backed up are wrong or you are mistyping them16:36:52
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> > Atomic DEX wallet are you using desktop or mobile?16:37:12
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> Just for the record, I have about 14 different wallets, and many different cryptos. I have used Exodus, Trezor, Ledger, Ellipal, Hedera wallet for Hashgraph, Enjin, on and on. I know how to handle seed words. I have reconstituted other wallets. When I created the Agama wallet I wrote the words down 3 times. They match. So I'm pretty sure I have the seed words correct.16:37:45
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> I'm using the desktop version of Atomic. Is there another wallet I can try? Or, here is another question. Do the seed words have to be typed in certain rows or lines. Like 6 words in one line, then hit return and six words in a second line etc?16:39:27
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> > Like 6 words in one line, then hit return and six words in a second line etc? no, nothing like that try atomicDEX mobile at atomicdex.io and select "restore", it won't allow you to confirm if you enter an invalid seed16:41:10
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <gcharang> don't select "allow custom seed"16:42:29
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> Okay, thank you for the suggestion. (I appreciate your help.) Let me go try the atomicdex. I have a dedicated iPad that is only used for cryptos. I'll download the app to that.16:42:30
@komodobridge:matrix.orgkomodobridge[discord] <CryptoviewingDick> Oh- allow custom seed. When I typed the seed phrase... it would not let me continue unless I clicked "Allow custom seed."16:43:20
