HybridSarcasm | LUP 600 would take place on 2 Feb, right? Assuming no weeks off between now and then. | 22:32:36 |
TheGoldenDragon (Mick) | I thought Feb 9 | 22:41:17 |
HybridSarcasm | Today is 589. 11 weeks from now is Feb 2. 1 week off for Christmas? | 22:43:05 |

pe1uca | In reply to @pe1uca:matrix.org Seems the issue was nouveau. Each time I purged nvidia drivers I saw it in the output of The update to 24.04 must have re-enabled it, since I remember disabling it the first time I installed the nvidia drivers. | 00:43:52 |

pe1uca | In reply to @pe1uca:matrix.org I spoke too soon, it crashed again... Went into recovery mode to uninstall it and kept crashing. I read some logs and rebooted, it worked properly... Changed nothing and rebooted and crashed again. I don't know what's happening š | 01:06:09 |

scifisurfer | Got a question for the channel. I ran a combination of Fedora 40 KDE, then 41 KDE, for about a year in total. Towards the end of that time, basically about two weeks ago, I needed to access some straight-up audio CDs. Anyhow, the TL;DR of it is Fedora did not appear to recognize my optical drive. Neither lspci nor lsblk saw it with or without a disc inserted. The box is nothing special: HP Envy TE01-0014, stock internal SATA-interfaced optical drive. I should hasten to add a few other details: 1. This was an in-place upgrade from 40-41; 2. I downloaded the F41 KDE iso, wrote it to a flash drive, booted from that, and nothing changed; 3. I have since nuke-n-paved my system and went back to Linux Mint 22 and immediately had full access to the drive. | 12:05:22 |
scifisurfer | I'd really like to go back, and I'll happily reinstall Fedora 41 to go through any specific TS steps. | 12:07:31 |

Filanto | In reply to @scifisurfer:matrix.orgSo far I've had no issues with fedora's bazzite and hardware. Only thing missing is my laptop fingerprint sensor, the driver doesn't exist in linux at all. Have it on a laptop from 2015 and one that's from 2022. | 15:44:23 |
