Was super stoked to see Deeplinking included in the most recent client release, but it would have been really cool if it was documented and communicated and made available to developers ahead of time so that application developers have the opporunity to incorporate new API features ahead of public releases.

I'd love to do this too, but at this point we haven’t even had the time to document aragonAPI v2 and it’s quite hard to use new API functionality if it’s not even working on the client yet. The API has been available since the start of September, but was not baked into the client yet. This capability was also communicated during the most recent all devs on monday, but that’s quite a narrow forum.

But yes, ideally we would hold ourselves to an evolving API that was properly documented and had testing builds for integration ahead of release, but second to that is just releasing these changes and allowing app developers to update their apps afterwards. This is especially true for non-ecosystem type of features. Deep linking is something developers can immediately update their apps into and is fully backwards compatible with what they had before.
