joola | In reply to @juniorjpdj:juniorjpdj.pl tags aren't being set inside runner config? I remeber that its on the Gitlab side, maybe both can configure tags | 09:19:15 |
Funkwhale Bot | <georgkrause@matterbridge> Yes both can. | 10:47:13 |
Funkwhale Bot | <georgkrause@matterbridge> But iirc it never worked ootb. But we can test | 10:48:10 |

Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> media keys in the keyboard are awesome but I've been always lacking the favorite button | 13:03:27 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> I have an audio server on raspberry pi connected to my speakers that runs pipewire with module-zeroconf-publish | 13:08:10 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> I've created a little program to control the server's audio level with a knob and a userscript to control funkwhale with dedicated keys :D | 13:09:13 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> works awesome | 13:09:44 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> now I need to 3d print a case for that and mount it under the desk | 13:13:01 |
Funkwhale Bot | <georgkrause@matterbridge> If we could build all this into one pi based device we could sell it :D | 13:19:24 |
Funkwhale Bot | <georgkrause@matterbridge> Funkwhale is a box | 13:19:34 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> :D | 13:23:09 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> actually, it is possible to make the frontend a remote player. One can register custom sound implementation (an interface that controls how the music is played) and translate each method to a REST/WS call that sends the data | 13:24:55 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> for example, if play() is called, send the url to the pi, and the daemon on pi streams that url to the speakers | 13:25:51 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> the most annoying part is the https here: https://dev.funkwhale.audio/wvffle/remotewhale/-/issues/3 | 13:26:24 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> There is already a system for custom sound impl registeration but there is no way of choosing which sound impl is being used by fw frontend | 13:27:18 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> so I decided to do some rest polling instead | 13:27:46 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> I will fix ghost keys issue in the evening and push the userscript if anyone is interested | 13:28:39 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> @juniorjpdj looking at you | 13:28:50 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> I'm using HiFiBerry Digi2-Pro HAT to have a TOSLINK output of better quality but it is entirely possible to route the audio through the headphone jack.
In fact, the screenshot contains 3.5mm jack extension cable that is connected to the pi.
On the desktop I can choose between 2 remote outputs:

Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> I wonder if I can force pipewire client to switch to a different sink | 16:42:40 |
Funkwhale Bot | <wvffle@matterbridge> if it is possible, I'd cycle through the sink list when the knob button is pressed | 16:43:31 |
JuniorJPDJ_ | yup, you can | 16:58:31 |
