@Paul90:matrix.org | You are just wanting to display your page JSON as part of a line up? | 19:14:44 |
connoropolous | yes | 19:14:51 |
connoropolous | Download Screen Shot 2018-02-02 at 7.14.04 PM.png | 19:15:23 |
connoropolous | I know that ID shouldn't look like that, but other than that, is there anything in the JSON itself that would make it not work? | 19:15:48 |
connoropolous | We aren't delivering story yet... | 19:15:56 |
connoropolous | "Journal" sorry | 19:16:11 |
@Paul90:matrix.org | you can add it to the lineup at the URL, try something like http://christopherreay.outlandish.academy/view/welcome-visitors/localhost/testpage\ replacing localhost with the server you are fetching from and testpage with page slug (think you are using the URL encode title). | 19:18:30 |
@Paul90:matrix.org | ignore that trailing \ | 19:18:54 |
connoropolous | Interesting... so I can see in the "network" tab of DevTools that it's SUCCEEDING in getting the JSON, but it says "we could not find this page" in the UI | 19:23:21 |
connoropolous | http://connor.outlandish.academy/view/welcome-visitors/a6ccfbc0.ngrok.io/welcome-developers | 19:23:29 |
@Paul90:matrix.org | From the console - Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http://a6ccfbc0.ngrok.io/welcome-developers.json. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). | 19:28:36 |
@Paul90:matrix.org | You are missing the CORS headers | 19:28:43 |
connoropolous | ah right, thank you Paul! I will see if that fixes it | 19:31:17 |
connoropolous | It now works! | 19:32:52 |

connoropolous | So many layers of proxy! | 19:33:40 |
connoropolous | :p | 19:33:41 |
connoropolous | But this is a proof of concept :) | 19:34:02 |
connoropolous | Here's the middleman https://github.com/Connoropolous/holochain-fed-wiki-proxy/blob/master/index.js | 19:35:18 |
@Paul90:matrix.org | nice to see it working | 19:37:27 |
connoropolous | For anyone reading later on, these links won't work because I'm going to take the proxies down, since they're just running off my laptop | 19:39:01 |
@Ward:matrix.org | Congratulations. | 20:06:42 |
@Ward:matrix.org | Middleman might be called a protocol converter? | 20:11:14 |
connoropolous | yeah | 23:06:42 |

@Ward:matrix.org | Nice demo. | 18:23:02 |

fortyfoxes | A good target for follow on would be to get a continuous deployment set up going to a Digital Ocean droplet - I'd like to use this to document as hackathons moving forwards. That would let us write in fedwiki, and start to fork pages over to the liquidwiki server so we have some test data . | 10:53:10 |
fortyfoxes | Going to do my best to work on the follow up now - so videos and text and research linked to the discussions. | 10:53:49 |

jason.sackey | Hi all. I should've joined this channel when I was really working on the project a few weeks ago. Better late than never. I want to work on it more. | 12:19:34 |
