The TD4328 is a Synaptics integrated touchscreen and display driver chip, so the vendor prefix should be syna, (and presumably there should be more-specific compatibles for the Odin and Odin_M2 panels if they differ)

I'm not sure that I have any specific critiques, but I've been bitten a few times already by API changes in the kernel breaking my out-of-tree drivers. Hence I'd really rather avoid carrying a driver for something like the gamepad, can you send it upstream? I'd be happy to review it there fwiw.

yeah, I meant to review it here, so it would be easier to upstream it

I agree that it may be frustrating to rebase this, I had to rework it to use gpiod instead of setting fixed gpio numbers

However, the IMX519 driver alone, is not sufficient to operate the camera on an SDM845 based device (though it helps a lot of course).

The camss input system must be correctly configured to capture raw images, and userspace support is required to manage the image processing of RAW bayer sensors (like the IMX519).

I have bought my Poco F1 (Beryllium) used, and have realized that I probably have a model from India (showing "Poco" on boot, instead of "Pocophone" as another phone of the same model that I have does). I am trying to understand what this means for its firmware and linux support. Sorry if this isn't the right channel to ask, I have tried other channels without much success. If you have any idea where else I can find an answer I'd be super happy if you'd let me know!

1.) How does the firmware blob that's flashed via fastboot and the *-firmware-* packages that are distributed via the distro's package managers relate to each other?
2.) If I flash a different firmware image, I would expect the linux drivers to show different behavior. Is there any risk in flashing the wrong firmware?
3.) What determines the correct firmware? Is it determined by a phyiscal difference in the hardware?
4.) Has kernel support here been tested for both versions of the firmware (listed here)?

With the qcrypto module loaded, a PF_ALG type socket will cause the device to crash and Qualcomm CrashDumpMode triggered.
I think this is the reason why iwd is not working on the SDM845 device.

!! wow nice find, yeah disabling this makes iwd work on the op6. At least we can fall back to software implementations, but this is probably something we should bisect.

I tried rolling back qce and bam to the point when they were added to the sdm845 dts, but it didn't solve the problem.
