| chrisrevocateur | Question about multiple Windows programs (not actually games) installed in the same prefix so they can see/talk to each other, but with separate launches:
I have two programs for helping run my TTRPG games, Hero Lab Classic and Realm Works. Realm Works has the capability to connect to Hero Lab Classic, but I need to be able to run both of these separately as well. I've already installed Hero Lab Classic. What's the best way for me to go about installing Realm Works so it can automatically find and launch Hero Lab? If I just "add steam game" and install as one would normally do, it'll install under its own prefix, and thus it wouldn't know how to find Hero Lab, right? But if I point the Hero Lab Steam shortcut to the Realm Works installer so that it DOES install in the same prefix, I can't have a separate Steam library entry, right? Thus I wouldn't be able to make a shortcut that I can then add into my App menu? | 21:34:43 |
