While my employer isn't huge, we're 200ish in the US and 4000-5000 people internationally. At the start of 2025 our work from home policy went from 2 days a week to just one. The insane part of the policy now, you can't have the same day of home office two weeks in a row. I.e., if one week you work at home on a Monday, the next week you're forbidden to work from home on Monday. Making it freaking impossible to schedule daycare and shuttling kids with your spouse in a reasonable, predictable manner. And to make it all really annoying, we went from just keeping the group calendar updated with your home office status, you are now required to get manager's approval to work from home to ensure we're not working from home on the same days each week.
