 discobeat_1 | One of these questions that I dare to ask. In a waveguide, it is said that upon entry of electromagnetic waves, the energy slows down and the waves speed up. That says the wave is well ahead of the energy it conveys. Hmmm. How do I imagine this to be so ? I know of no test that puts a frequency counter INSIDE the waveguide. Because looking at the experts diagram, it seems that if the waves spread, thus a longer wavelength, so if the frequency is the same, then time must slow down within the guide. There's only 2 options here. Either it is the wave propagates with energy behind it OR Time slows within the guide. Now if we can find other analogous representations where time shifts occur in tunnels or equivalent, then we have credence to the Idea that time may slow. | 01:19:56 |
