You can in fact limit the available languages for posts and comments in a community. Ah okay so the issue is more with the Lemmy UI not providing the user with an error saying that a specific language isn't allowed, or that only one language is allowed. | 19:13:46 |

| InEnduringGrowStrong | Federation only happens when there's at least one local person subscribed to said remote community. There might not have been at the time.
You can kinda force sync stuff by using the local search box and the original remote URL, but then you might end up with partial stuff where you have the post, but not the comments. (Although you could also do this with the comments)
