Usman Sajid | Hi, can anyone give me an idea what is the difference between OCM extension and OCM W stack. After reading the documentation about both components, https://eclipse.dev/xfsc/ocme1/ocme1/ https://eclipse.dev/xfsc/ocmwstack/ocmwstack/ It seems that there are many functionalities which are provided by both components. Both components can be used to create connections with other Participants in the Gaia-X ecosystem and to verify, issue, and revoke credentials. Can anyone tell me why there was a need to create another OCM? In what kind of use cases do we need OCM W stack? How can one determine whether we need OCM extension or OCM W stack in any scenario in Gaia-X ecosystem? | 23:58:53 |

schulzest | OCM E1. ist based on hyperledger indy technology and OCM W-Stack is a stack based on cloud native technology, which operates 100% with W3C Credentials and a stack of microservies for issuing, verification and holdership. Both are going conceptual with similiar concepts, but they are in its core completly different | 08:57:46 |

schulzest | Normal OCM is bound to https://www.hyperledger.org/projects/hyperledger-indy and Aries Framework. Means somehow ledger coupled and bound to a set of concepts/protocols which cant be avoided (aries RFCs). OCM W-Stack is a set of micro services constructed by normal micro services, which allows it to replace mostly everything what is not required. Its build out of postgres, hashicorp vault, key cloak, redis, cassandra, common crypto libraries/standards and other cloud things which are much more common than special aries frameworks like credo, aca py etc. | 08:50:16 |
