Dezponia | dermot: In this case they're the clips that hold the wire stabiliser in place. On my Moonlanders left half one of those plastic cllips let go of the wire when pressed down. That both feels terrible, and sounds terrible :) | 04:29:08 |
Dezponia | Tons of different versions out there though: https://deskthority.net/wiki/Stabiliser | 04:29:29 |

Dezponia | There is also the inserts on the other end. The ones in the picture looks identical to the ones the Moonlander uses. Its only used on the big 2U red keys | 04:35:00 |

Dezponia | Took a little bit to get around to it but now my Moonlander is up and running with the new left half, my config flashed on it, and everything seems good :) | 12:55:27 |

Elouin | What are your recommendations for European shops for keycaps? | 17:44:33 |
Dezponia | I tend to use https://mykeyboard.eu/ and https://candykeys.com/ as they are often the European partner for "group buys" of keycaps and other stuff | 17:56:49 |
Elouin | Thanks alot. :) | 18:07:34 |

Dezponia | Is there a keyboard manufacturer that does RGBW (W for white) LED backlit keyboards? | 16:39:47 |
Dezponia | A friend wants a white backlight but generally RGB keyboards are terrible at getting white | 16:40:12 |
Alex | No idea I've never had a problem with the white I get from rgb. Didn't realize this was an issue people noticed. | 16:44:33 |
Dezponia | Its pretty clear when you put a "RGB white" vs an actual white LED :) | 17:08:40 |
Dezponia | The RGB white often drifts to one colour or another, and can look "dirty" as a result | 17:09:03 |
Alex | Makes sense. | 17:09:15 |
Dezponia | Some manufacturers choose to use RGBW as a result. Famously Gigabyte does this for their motherboard RGB stuff. They have their own RGB header that only they use, and it has a forth channel for white LED's :) | 17:09:58 |

lovestha | Many cheaper pcbs have per key lighting, but it's just a led, no rgb. So get one of those and install white leds | 02:02:19 |
Dezponia | Sure, but that also gives up the whole RGB part for when you want that. RGBW LED's would be the "best of both worlds" so to speak | 07:29:45 |

lovestha | Sure, but if the goal is white backlighting, this is an option i know currently exists | 00:23:01 |
