I'm gunna cry. Why was this so hard to find...
I don't know much about package maintaining but clearly this is not a good experience. How do we avoid this? Is there really any point in keeping some old version of the matrix-synapse package around with known security issues in the Ubuntu/Debian repo forever without updating it? Is there not some way to either remove the package or add some kind of warning saying if you are installing this you should think about not doing that?
