nonlandi | Hi all! I was wondering if there will be a JRuby release for the puma-5.5.0 gem. Opposed to prior releases, the -java one is not yet available on rubygems. I'd appreciate any info on that. Thanks :) | 08:29:56 |

nateberkopec | Hey everyone! I'm expecting our first child to be delivered sometime within the next week, so I'll be taking a leave of absence from Puma for a while. Not sure when I'll be back, probably December at the earliest, maybe after the holidays. | 18:23:34 |

nateberkopec | Looks like its time for a 5.6 | 21:10:51 |
nateberkopec | Any objections? | 21:10:56 |

nateberkopec | I wonder - it might be nice to separate the ubuntu tests into a separate workflow too because it takes so damn long to work through all the MacOS and Windows tests due to the license restrictions that mean you have to do them one at a time... | 16:18:46 |
nateberkopec | Still working on 5.6, my personal dev env has been kind of fucked up lately and I need to unfuck it first. But after that I will be shipping. | 16:19:08 |
msp-greg | Action CI's job concurrency limits are user/org based, not repo based. So, splitting the workflows up will not change things. See:
https://docs.github.com/en/actions/learn-github-actions/usage-limits-billing-and-administration#usage-limits
Note that the macOS limit is five until it's an 'enterprise' account. | 17:04:43 |

nateberkopec | Oh ok, nvm then. Good call. I figured it was all licensing. | 16:55:07 |
24 Jan 2022 |
nateberkopec | msp-greg: do you have any idea what a good setting is for ulimit /open file limits to make our suite pass? | 17:18:50 |
nateberkopec | I ahve a soft limit of 1024 set and all the integration_cluster and puma_server tests blow up | 17:19:06 |
nateberkopec | If you've got an intuition on a number I'll add it to CONTRIBUTING.md | 17:19:21 |

nateberkopec | woohoo! a successful run on my NixOS VM! https://gist.github.com/nateberkopec/28d53da12aeb6a4f905b1b005e372e1c | 17:35:02 |
msp-greg | Pretty sure 4096 works. I.think. Locally, I use 32k, GitHub Actions images are 65536. NixOS? Guess I'll have to google that one... | 17:38:20 |
nateberkopec | 1024 definitely didn't work π | 17:39:11 |
