@hultan70:matrix.orghultan70 * Lately I have a problem with my Pixel 6, where if I am in a phone call, and the screen locks, the sound is cut out. The call is still active, but they don't hear me, and I still hear them. I even reinstalled my phone today, but it still has that problem. I should mention that I use a wired headset, with a (DAC) USB-3.5mm adapter, I am not sure if that is relevant though, I seem to get the same problem when using the "speaker" functionality. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there a solution to this?07:36:01
@hultan70:matrix.orghultan70I should probably also mention that usually the phone app crashes, and I usually need to reboot the phone, if it does not reboot itself (which happens sometimes).07:44:22

Also posted on Reddit but thought I would try here:

Anyone have experience with Silent Link data only eSIM ?

I'm on a Pixel 3a, previously had no issues with Silent.Link data eSIM.

But now I can't get it to work at all, I'm getting the following error:

"Something went wrong and your carrier could not be disabled"

I tried removing all other SIMs, re adding with QR code, and also tried the Pixel string code, multiple device restarts, already on calyx 4.5.0

It seems to be trying to use the SIM for calls and SMS but it's a data only SIM, but the Calyx UX seems different and I can't modify the options until I turn on the "Use SIM" toggle, and that's when I immediately get the error and can't do anything else.
hi did you ever solve this?

What do u mean by "information being leaked by apps"?
10:26:13
@0l0l0:matrix.org0l0l0When apps access information on your device, like wifi info or the android id etc.11:24:53

It's like asking if a VPN would make you anonymous and the answer is, depends how you use it.
A VPN could make you anonymous, partially-anonymous or not make any difference at all.
Same for work profile.

it's most likely like that because there's only one number

@gdt:lexort.comgdtI just tried to use a Yubikey 5 to sign into a website with 2fa. The same key worked minutes before on that site with NetBSD firefox. The security key option was greyed out in fennec (from f-droid) on up-to-date calyxos, even after I enabled NFC. Holding the key causes a launch of yubico's site and validates the OTP, so I know the NFC link is ok. Does this work for others, known issue, or ? 15:22:33

@bibarub:matrix.orgbibarubi've made a backup and uninstalled an app i backed up. how can i restore it? (i ticked the "app backup" option)15:40:01
@nickcalyx:matrix.orgnickcalyxright now we don't have the ability to restore just one app15:48:00
@nickcalyx:matrix.orgnickcalyxbut if you can reinstall the app from wherever you originally got it, and your backup medium is mounted then it should auto-restore the data15:48:21
