Could a synchronous process (that is a drone_cortexm::fib::new_proc or thr.add_proc) call root_wait() on futures of a fiber attached to a thread? No, this could create problems for other threads. root_wait must be called only inside the bottom "root" thread. Otherwise it will stall other currently active threads. This is not an undefined behavior, that's why it's not marked as unsafe. But still you need to be careful with root_wait. It is a wrapper for the WFE instruction (on Cortex-M). | 05:46:37 |
