@carwe:matrix.orgcarweafter updating asa/asdm i cannot connect via javaws anymore, as the error "JAR ressources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate" appears. this isn't wrong, in fact two of the 4 files are signed by one cert and the other two by a newer cert, but a) why is this a problem b) how to make javaws (oracle jre 1.8.0_351) shut up? (preferrably without disassembling all jars and re-signing them with a snakeoil key)20:09:42
@carwe:matrix.orgcarweyay... changelog with 7.18: 'Starting with ASDM 7.18, ASDM will no longer support Java Web Start due to Oracle’s end of support for JRE 8 and Java Network Launching Protocol (JNLP). You will have to install the ASDM Launcher to launch ASDM.'20:37:02
@carwe:matrix.orgcarweholy batman, the launcher is an msi-file.20:40:33
@carwe:matrix.orgcarwehttps://community.cisco.com/t5/cisco-software-discussions/asa-asdm-not-start-on-linux/td-p/4678819 ofc i'm not the first - that direct command looks good20:48:24
@carwe:matrix.orgcarwedissected the dm-launcher.msi (https://FIREWALL//admin/dm-launcher.msi) with msiextract (from msitools), and, there even is a asdm-launcher.sh file... which is basically doing the same, just building a classpath and starting the launcher22:08:47
