| A matrix chat room for Nepali folks who want to value privacy. This room is bridged with several chat apps and network meaning you can use one and chat with others who use different platform. More to come --- Rules: We want to ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable and good learning experience in this chat room. So we have set up some rules that you must follow. Punishment for breaking the rules starts from post deletion to ban from the server. - No spamming/flooding/advertising posts. - Only mention/refer to someone using the username/nickname they have used in here even though you know their real name, that counts as Doxing and Doxing will not be tolerated. - No explicit content. This is not a place to share NSFW materials. - No harassment, its free to be nice. - Though admins/mods are liberal to members in many cases, but should the situation arise, admin's decision is final. This is not Democratic free speech platform. - Do not post personal information of anyone if they dont allow sharing it themselves publicly in the server. - If someone deletes a post, do not repost it without their permission. - If you have any problem with the rules, you can contact admins/mods with your query. - Do not use special characters in your username/nickname that makes it difficult to mention, nor any offensive or discriminatory username/nickname. Admins/Mods may change your username without your permission if you did so on Discord, this however can get you kicked in other supported chat network where we cannot change your nickname. - Rules are subject to change in the future. Keep an eye out. - If you have any problem with any member, please screenshot it and send it to the admins/mods and they will be taken care of. - Nothing illegal allowed, illegal as in Law of Nepal even if it happens to be legal in your area. That unfortunately includes crypto currency use in a financial transaction, though discussion about crypto currencies without involving in financial transactions are allowed. - We assume everyone in this chat are knowledgeable and mature enough to understand the dangers of the internet even though we cannot verify anyone's age. --- FAQ 1: Too few people. - Yeah, invite your friends. 2: This chat room needs more publicity. - Yeah we try to publicize this chat but we also dont want to get banned from other communities. 3: There are no girls. - This is not an organization and we dont have the obligation to meet 18% women rule. We dont care about your gender to put it simply. We are not rude to girls either, just think its a stupid issue to mention. 4: We need more rooms for X, Y and Z. - Because of bridging, adding more rooms on Matrix means we need to create more channels on other chat platforms and bridge them individually which is a horrible pain in the neck 5: I want voice and video calls. - Because we embrace bridging, if you absolutely need voice/video calls for any reason, you must use external service and share the link here. We often use https://meet.jit.si and because it is out of this chat, we cannot moderate it. Users joining them do so at their own risk. We take no responsibility. 6: They dont notice me reacting. - If the other person does not use Matrix, they cannot see your reactions in their posts 7: They dont respond to DMs. - You can neither DM user nor mention them if they dont use Matrix. Those accounts are handled by bots as the representation of other user from other chat networks and the bots dont know how to treat incoming messages. 8: Why are there duplicate users on Matrix? - If you see someone with a Name and a Hash tag followed by a number, it is just a bridged account. It was created by bot as their representation from Discord. 9: There will be no NSFW specific rooms. - We often dont have experience and resources needed to handle such a room. There are better places for that on the internet, this is not it. 10: Stickers wont be sent over to Discord. - When you send stickers in here, users in Discord will only see matrix-media.null files. | 2 Servers |
