@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's Best Friend Jesus Friday. Read Proverbs 18:24 NKJV - "A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." True friendship is to be cherished, valued and treasured highly, for it is rare to find someone who actually deserves the title,"friend.”  Finding someone who loves unconditionally, is there through thick and thin and will never let you down, is a special gift. And of course a real friendship requires honesty, loyalty and trust, traits that are even harder to come by these days. It seems that some friends are loyal until it serves their purpose “not to be,” while others pretend to be friends because of what you can do for them, or something they need from you. A sure way to find out if your friends are real, is the moment tragedy or trouble strikes! Fake friends tend to disappear very quickly and when the dust settles, it is your true friends that have weathered the storm with you. But of all the great friends you could possibly have, there is only ONE Friend that you can always count on, no matter what! He will never leave you or forsake you and always has your best interest at heart. He isn’t dishonest and best of all, He loves unconditionally! Yes, your Best Friend Jesus, loves you more than you could possibly imagine, more than anyone else ever could! Amen! 14:58:55

@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's Thank God For Family Monday. Read Romans 14:10 (ISV) "Why, then, do you criticize your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For all of us will stand before the judgment seat of God." Families are one of God’s precious gifts! They come in all different combinations, but the purpose is the same, so that we can love and support each other through this difficult journey of life. How sad it is when there’s fighting and jealousy inside the family. Oh so much joy is missed because of selfishness and pride. Some people may not have family that is blood related, but you still belong to a family, the best family ever: the family of God! This forever family is made up of believers who are connected through faith. Brothers and sisters in your church should be there to encourage, help, and spiritually uplift each other! Pray and ask God to make you the brother or sister He wants you to be!
Throw criticism, jealousy, and hatred out the window and replace them with an extra measure of God’s love for your fellowmen! The result will be a much more rewarding, uplifting, and happy life, filled to overflowing with God’s gift of joy! Texts: Romans 14:10 (ISV), 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Matthew 12:48-50, Philippians 2:3
A Prayer For Today

@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's Family Love Tuesday. Read Proverbs 17:17 NKJV - "A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity." How we live our lives each day has a big impact on all those around us, especially our families. It makes sense because they are the ones that we spend the most time with. If we want to shine for Jesus–we need to first start at home! Our attitude, the decisions we make and how we react to day to day situations shows whether or not Christ is living in us. Sometimes we make an effort to be kind to strangers, but then come home and act quite differently with those we love the most. But living a Christ-centered life doesn’t mean that you act like a Christian all day long  and then when you get home you throw your “Christian Cap,” on the hook and become someone else! God wants you to shine for him all the time–especially at home! When arguments and tempers start to rise, call on Jesus to give you the strength to respond in love. With Christ as the center of the home, family ties are the strongest and so is family love!! Amen! 13:44:25

Good Morning! He Holds You In His Hand Wednesday. Read Isaiah 41:10, AMPC. "Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you…I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand…" We all face situations in life that feel out of control. During times like these, it’s easy to get discouraged and allow fear to creep in. Instead, why don’t you focus on the fact that God is holding you in the palms of His hands! There is nothing too difficult for Him; nothing’s impossible; nothing is beyond His ability. When God holds you in His hands, you are safe; you are cared for. In His hands, there is victory. In His hands, there is strength. In His hands, there is provision. In His hands is everything you need. No matter what you may be going through today, you can trust that God is for you. Instead of getting down and depressed over your circumstances, look up and get a vision of God turning that situation around. Let faith rise in your heart and focus on His favor, promotion and blessing. As you keep your heart and mind focused on Him and choose to obey His Word, you’ll see those supernatural breaks that will launch you further ahead than you ever thought possible because He holds you with His victorious right hand!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Father, thank You for helping me and holding me in Your victorious right hand. I choose to trust You even when things don’t make sense, even when things seem beyond my control. I release my cares to You knowing that You work all things together for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Good Morning! It's Heavenly Time Schedule Thursday. Read Psalm 27:14 NKJV - "Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!"

There’s an enormous amount of time spent “waiting!” Waiting in this life is inevitable–whether you are waiting in line at the car wash, waiting for your dinner to arrive at a restaurant, or waiting for test results which will determine whether you live or die. But how you choose to spend your time while waiting is up to you! You can waste the time doing something useless, spend it worrying and pacing the floor, or you can trust that God will do what is best for you–and praise Him!

Choose to spend the “waiting game” free of anxiety–instead of worrying, praise Jesus for His faithfulness, and His many blessings! Remember that God’s timing is different than ours. The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:8; “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” God is on His eternal heavenly time schedule, which is quite different from our temporary earthly one.

God sees the big picture that we can’t see, so it’s better to wait on God’s perfect plan AND His perfect timing! In the meantime, spend the waiting game praising Jesus and thanking Him for being your Lord and Savior! Amen!

@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's The Ticking Clock Monday. Read 2 Peter 3: 9-10. "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment."
When visiting another country or culture, we may discover that the sense of time is quite different from our own. What does it mean to be on time? How long should something take? Another country, another timetable. It behooves us to adjust if we want to get along.
God’s sense of time is the focus of this reading. Here Peter explains that God’s timing is different from that of humans. Despite the differences, however, Peter encourages readers to have patience. God is in control and has not forgotten his people. As you read, consider how you can be both watchful and relaxed. Note that hope is held up in abundance in this reading, as is the example of Jesus. Some of the Christians to whom Peter wrote faced harassment and suffering for their faith. They knew that God planned an eventual judgment of the earth, when all would be put right. But they wondered, Why was he waiting? and Why not do it now? Peter told them: God has a different timetable than we do (2 Peter 3:8-9; see Psalm 90:4). While we anxiously await God’s gavel of justice to fall, God patiently waits for more people to repent. He moves with perfect timing, not slowness.Keep waiting with Jesus for more people to repent and turn to him. Each day he delays is another opportunity for us to have compassion as he does and to give a few more people an opportunity to accept him. Use the time God’s given you to spread the Good News. Amen!

@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's Oh, What A Day That Will Be Tuesday. Read Romans 8:18 (NKJV). "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." When you are going through the deepest valley of your life and it seems as if your heartache will never end, remind yourself that this world is not your home, life here on earth, is temporary! Whatever is causing your pain will end soon because Jesus is coming soon and will put an end to all sorrow, tears, heartache, and death! The words to the familiar hymn “Oh What A Day” by Jim Hill expresses so beautifully how wonderful it will be when we get to heaven. The words go like this: “There is coming a day, when no heartaches shall come; no more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye, all is peace forevermore; on that happy golden shore, what a day, glorious day, that will be. What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see, and I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace; when He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the Promised Land, what a day, glorious day that will be. There’ll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear; no more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there; and forever I will be, with the One who died for me, what a day, glorious day that will be.” So no matter what the devil throws at you, don’t be discouraged or even entertain the idea of giving up, because soon and very soon, we will be in heaven forever with our Lord and Savior.” Amen. Text: Romans 8:18, Matthew 11:28, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10. 13:24:15

@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's Never Give Up Wednesday. Read Lamentations 3:21-26 NKJV - "This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!" The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD." There are ups and downs in this journey of life and unfortunately, some days are going to be better than others. As Christians, we know that God never promised that all our days would be bright and sunny, but He does promise that He will be with us through every storm. So on those days when you are discouraged and feeling like just “throwing in the towel,” and giving up, lean on Jesus! Go to God’s Word for comfort and assurance. Think of Paul, who suffered unimaginable heartache and pain, yet God sustained him through a shipwreck, beatings, prison, and horrible persecution and through it all–Paul did not give up! He said in, 2 Timothy 1:12, “ I am not ashamed of it for I know the One in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until the day of His return.” It was Paul’s deep and unshakeable love for His Lord and Savior that gave him the courage to keep on going! And God is still willing and able to do that for each of us today. No matter what dark valley we are in, never give up–lean on Jesus claiming Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Amen. Text: Joshua 1:9, Psalm 37:24, Lamentations 3:21-26, Psalm 42:5. 15:24:42

@pastortoni:matrix.orgpastortoni Good Morning! It's Secrets Tell the Truth Thursday. Read Ephesians 6:7-8 NKJV "with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free."
Some Christians believe God has a check off list for the number of good deeds you must accomplish in order to enter into heaven. Soon, they start to feel guilty if they perceive themselves as not measuring up to what everyone else is doing and their reasons for performing acts of kindness become selfishly motivated, trying to earn “the key” to eternal life. But the truth is, there is no such check off list or special key. The door to grace and mercy is open to all. Eternity with Jesus is not a reward for accomplishing the required amount of good deeds. If heaven was available only for “perfect people” no one would be there, because no one is perfect. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God knows your heart and He knows if your motives are pure or selfish. He wants you to be kind to others, not just your friends, family or people you love, but to strangers as well, without looking around to see who’s watching, or for some expectation of a reward! Hebrews 6:10 says, “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Show kindness, not because you have to, or because you want to get brownie points with God–but do so from a heart filled with love. You simply can’t fool God, for your secrets tell the truth about what’s really in your heart! Amen!
