@_slack_fatiando_UMFSBQVMG:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UMFSBQVMG:matrix.org Nice! Please feel free to invite them to the Slack channel! 18:12:05
@_slack_fatiando_UMFSBQVMG:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UMFSBQVMG:matrix.org And, since you are using the new prisms_layer feature, would you add some feedback to the Pull Request (https://github.com/fatiando/harmonica/pull/186)? While coding and designing sometimes it's easy to lose track of usability, so any feature that you might want to add, or change something in the documentation are very welcome. For example, making the prisms layer to copy the topography + bathymetry grid seem a little bit annoying, maybe we can add a method to the PrismsLayer class to do it for us. What do you think? 18:15:19
@_slack_fatiando_UT0BDHKPE:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UT0BDHKPE:matrix.org yes i will 18:16:05
@_slack_fatiando_UMGLPTLAW:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UMGLPTLAW:matrix.org This looks really interesting! Would be great to have a notebook example to put it all together to go from observation to complete bouguer anomaly for both ground and satellite data. How fast is the terrain correction computation compared to oasis? 19:02:54
@_slack_fatiando_UT0BDHKPE:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UT0BDHKPE:matrix.org would check, I need to ask to a colluegue of mine. Personally I do not have access to it 19:04:09
@_slack_fatiando_UMGLPTLAW:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UMGLPTLAW:matrix.org no worries, how long does it take for your example? 19:10:24
@_slack_fatiando_UT0BDHKPE:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UT0BDHKPE:matrix.org i did not check the time precisely but i would say for a cellsize of 250m and a grid of 200x200 roughly about 5 minutes 19:11:34
@_slack_fatiando_UMGLPTLAW:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_UMGLPTLAW:matrix.org ok not too bad, thanks 19:12:40

Absolutely Craig Miller! I see that notebooks with full workflows is a very nice addition to the documentation. For this specific feature (terrain correction) we would need to merge the PR first, remember that Lorenzo is running it from a branch I opened to upload the new code.

@_slack_fatiando_U013EU24QKH:matrix.org@_slack_fatiando_U013EU24QKH:matrix.org Hello everyone, greetings to all of you, i'm a student from indonesia. now i am working with gravity disturbance data from curtin university (GGMPlus), i've read the 'gravity_disturbance_topofree.py' repo on harmonica github. after applying the topo-free, do i need to do terrain correction like station gravity? can i generate bouguer anomaly from gravity disturbance data? many thanks... 09:25:48

23 minutes for about 70k cells. in a standard laptop

this is the gravity disturbance less the terrain correction computed used the prisms layers for therrain correction

sinoce the survey dataset consist of >45000 stations (bottom), for the harmoica approach i have blockreduced the dataset to 5000 samples (top)

Have you block reduced to speed up the computations? Or is there any other reason?
