addshore | oh wait, for installing extensions using composer, I'v never really looked into that area | 10:06:02 |
Sam Wilson | yeah for installing them, but even when not installing them we're still going to support isntalling their dependencies with composer (I think?) | 10:09:52 |
Sam Wilson | i.e. it seems that as long as the merge plugin is going to be used, then it's going to remain possible to install extensions with Composer | 10:10:22 |
addshore | In reply to @samwilson:matrix.org yeah for installing them, but even when not installing them we're still going to support isntalling their dependencies with composer (I think?) Installing their dependencies is already supported and has been for quite a while | 10:10:34 |
Sam Wilson | yeah exactly, and installing extensions with composer has also been done for many years | 10:11:11 |
addshore | And yes, indeed, using composer.local.json | 10:11:13 |

squeak251 | In reply to @revansx:matrix.org darenwelsh: I am super eager to learn how you did this and implement it on my site. when can you tell me about it? Hi Daren, that sounds cool, is there any documentation on how to sync the Wiki pages across multiple wikis on a farm? | 17:41:58 |
darenwelsh | I have been developing it in our firewalled GitLab, but I went ahead and put a copy on GitHub to share. Note that this was developed for use on a server using Meza, but I'm sure it could be modified to work on other configs.
https://github.com/enterprisemediawiki/Sync-Wiki-Content | 18:29:01 |
darenwelsh | I don't explicitly spell out how to set up the CI part. I only recently learned how to configure GItLab for that, but it's pretty nice. Now we have it set up so every time a new commit is pushed to the common content repo (a separate repo from this script repo), then GitLab tasks a job runner with executing this script to sync the content. And we have different branches configured so each server (production, integration, development) have their own branch of common content. I also scheduled it to run nightly, in case any human users change any of the synchronized pages. | 18:32:49 |
squeak251 | thanks Daren, I'll take a look. | 22:06:54 |

Charly | So as a small addition to the WSForm createcamp session.. Here's a 4 in video that shows you can build a WSForm with drag and drop and using a Form repo to manage forms.. Forgot to mention that in the createcamp : https://vimeo.com/405377713 | 10:36:59 |
