bkil | Could you perhaps create a dedicated matrix room for storing and sharing test cases? That room could be prominently displayed in the readme, the GitHub issue template and at least this topic (and also added to a space if one existed). It could be shared with Hydrogen devs & bug reports as well. I feel kind of uneasy of sharing links and screenshots of the messages of random people and I can't be sure if they redact it before the given issue is resolved. | 00:24:16 |
bkil | I should have asked earlier, but it's better late than never they say. I'd still want to fuzz rich text formatting a bit. | 00:25:12 |

Gnuxie 💜🐝: The archive only shows rooms in these cases:
m.room.history_visibility is world_readable
m.room.history_visibility is shared and m.room.join_rules is public
shared room visibility` means "All events in the room are accessible, even those sent when the member was not a part of the room."
Yes but archive makes it so you can’t know who can read at any point in time | 00:45:25 |
Cat | You can’t for example use ACL to block users on one server from joining the room and getting history. Now yes yes they could make alt but still point stands | 00:46:39 |
madlittlemods (Eric Eastwood) | bkil: Probably best to just create your own test room. | 04:36:15 |

bkil | We disagree on this one. If the github issue template included a link to an existing room, each reporter was not forced to create their own. | 10:15:30 |

Olivier 'reivilibre' | I suppose something like: matrix.org is already in most rooms the archivebot would want to be in; creating a homeserver just for the archivebot would be expensive | 10:52:59 |
Olivier 'reivilibre' | mjolnir being on a different HS is news to me, I thought/am pretty sure the admin user was on matrix.org | 10:55:30 |
Olivier 'reivilibre' | (and the integrations are not a homeserver-level thing, if anything they belong more to the client that uses the integration manager) | 10:56:20 |

@cyberes:evulid.cc | If you set your room to public and world_readable, don't be surprised when anyone can view your chats...
