or fools rarely differ, pick whichever 😄

The whole issue is trying to get the average Joe to get involved into crypto and making the whole experience as easy as possible. Gas is one of those things that is hard to deal for DApps to go mainstream

What great responses. Gaming communities are strong these days! With plenty of passion. This is a beautiful usecase and I could realistically see this happening. The gas is certainly an issue🤔 I’d like to see Aragon have it’s own chain. Many issues to solve over the coming decade haha.

In a decentralized world, why fall under one chain? Polkadot looks promising but I have not read deep into their documents.

I also think it would be very interesting to have DAOs on e-sports. I have this idea of making money matches on the blockchain for competitive e-sports. What do you guys think?

In a couple of weeks we’re going to host a hackathon so I was thinking that I could develop it there 🤔

18:44:41
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <turupawn>

(btw the hackathon is going to be run on the blockchain as a smart contract as I posted on the intro chanel 😉 )

@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jjperezaguinaga>

@turupawn nice presentation! I’m unsure about the focus on bets as I think prediction markets might be a more suitable option (i.e. you remove the host and just buy stakes on an event, veil.co has a good UI for Augur based markets). What benefits would come from managing bets within a DAO? 🤔

19:04:06
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <turupawn>

@jjperezaguinaga Thanks! And yeah it’s almost exactly as Veil. The difference is that incentives competitors to win to get a % of the pot. And also incentives hosts to create the event and pay the expenses (venue, equipement, transportation, etc…) because I was thinking about face to face games such as fighting games.

19:11:00
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <turupawn>

I think in many cases hosts can be discarded, for online games like mobas and rts for example, you might host an event online. But I think incentivizing the competitors is very important. What do you think?

19:25:19
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jjperezaguinaga>

Ah, I see, wasn’t considering live events, but I see your point. Are you thinking in building an app to organize these features within a DAO?

19:33:29
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <turupawn>

Yeah, the only dapp we’ve build so far is this:
https://github.com/Turupawn/HackathonMunon/
So unless we find an easier way to do it I guess I’ll go that way

19:35:44
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <turupawn>

Also, since it’s a DAO I wanted to see I can integrate something with aragon but I’m not very aware of the technical features so far so I have to investigate

19:36:40
@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <Scribbles>

@turupawn that looks like a great framework! If you end up developing this let me know. I think that could be a great showcase for DAOs, something that people could and would use.

I have a vision of a successful campaign with a handful of semi-pro and/or popular livestreaming personalities helping to show the usecases behind the blockchain tech. Really an exciting way to connect communities & ideas. I think many livestreamers would be excited about this. Especially considereding how much many of them seem to love bitcoin/crypto😂 and more to come.

Cool stuff @Scribbles I remember a couple of years ago, in our local community space some friends 3d printed an hydroponic setup using some models and instructions from a project called 3Dponics

@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <turupawn>

I learned so much from them, also the radish tasted so good 😌 they tasted like future. Agriculture is such a great field to decentralize with the help of tech

And I let you know about my progress en e-sports! @Scribbles

@turu sounds like a great experience! Hydroponics are efficient. Perfect for limited spaces. Decentralized agriculture is my jam😎 with the right tech, sustainability doesn’t have to be so scary.

Could you tell me where I can go to check the specific time of the roadmap?

Zerophone is one of my favorite open source projects I have been following. Makerphone has also just popped up on my radar. I’m interested in secure open source solutions to our miniature communication devices. I do not trust 99% of android devices. https://wiki.zerophone.org/index.php/Main_Page https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sILwQ9uAogM

This is my kind of decentralization, taking the power back into the hands of people, through open source projects.

Wow! This project, LimeNET is fantastic. It allows you to deploy your own SDR radio network in one box! (Power to the people!)

I do have a great concern about over crowding of radio waves and the amount of encrypted traffic over a variety of bands in a future where nation states may no longer play such a large role. Maybe Aragon will play a role?

Too many radio waves is no good for the cells in our body. When people have financial incentive to turn the gain up on microwave dishes, humanity can, possibly, suffer.
