the pain in the ass about federation hasn't been getting people connected together, as it has been about state consistency between all members... the thing i've been wondering about why it's not being used, is the hashgraph algorithm... probably not being used because no one's really properly implemented it yet... https://docs.hedera.com/guides/core-concepts/hashgraph-consensus-algorithms State consistency is a meme anyway in Matrix. | ophiuchus2 | I haven't set up a test server yet. Right now we just have a simple client/server architecture, the server can be deployed anywhere. We may do some kind of p2p in the future but it's not decided yet. Once it's ready i plan to deploy the initial release somewhere, but there is still some work to be done (mostly on the UI) and will likely be text only (no media). | 01:37:55 |
