@_discord_347226337338982402:t2bot.ioPyroman And I encountered 3 of those ESL's in a state that seems like they weren't set up, all right next to each other 22:29:31
@_discord_347226337338982402:t2bot.ioPyroman Actually there's 8 of them like that 22:32:30

@_discord_1206268880985530370:t2bot.ioalostcause_79867_18063 I'm making a server, are there any rules I should take into consideration? 02:28:34
@_discord_374327967742033921:t2bot.iolj_dude As in discord server or? 02:29:39

@_discord_374327967742033921:t2bot.iolj_dude Four base rules I always include are:
0. Follow the Discord Terms of Service. - Visit https://discord.com/terms for more info.
1. Be respectful. - This includes no spamming, no slurs of any kind, no unnecessary drama, no discrimination of any sort, and no excessive pinging or swearing.
2. No Explicit/NSFW/18+ content. - Speaks for itself. None of that kind of content is allowed whatsoever.
and then at the end, Moderators may apply discretion where necessary. - While we/I will try to follow these rules as closely as we/I can, no set of rules can cover every eventuality. If necessary, we/I will take action so the server can remain a friendly place.

Additional rules that I commonly end up needing are:
x. Don't ping [owner] unnecessarily. - for servers that tend to be focused around a particular person.
x. No piracy. - for servers that may be related to a pirate-able item, such as games or movies.
x. No/limited self promotion. - if it's an issue, or you have a self promotion channel(s) and want it limited to that.

@_discord_1206268880985530370:t2bot.ioalostcause_79867_18063 thank you 02:44:00
@_discord_1206268880985530370:t2bot.ioalostcause_79867_18063 I'll be sure to credit you 02:44:45
@_discord_374327967742033921:t2bot.iolj_dude One other I just thought of, and english/x language only rule if needed since using a translator for moderation is very difficult 03:02:59
@_discord_1206268880985530370:t2bot.ioalostcause_79867_18063 good Idea, although I'll make an exception for German 03:08:22

@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens I played simtower waay too much for my own good back in the day. 14:10:15
@_discord_218985411676995584:t2bot.io.synchro Oh geez that looks too good 20:52:19

@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens Never played Yoot Tower, but would love to give it a try if native. Probably still a few years off though seeing that code isn't public yet 13:58:00
@_discord_218985411676995584:t2bot.io.synchro Looks playable with DOSBox which kinda counts as native since it runs natively 🙂
Seems like it's required on Modern Windows as well

@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens Lately listening to designer notes podcast. It's quite good and gets me hyped up. Listening to josh sawyer talk about pillars of eternity makes me want to finish the naev encyclopedia 01:41:00

@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens The FTL guy was also quite cool and not what I expected 01:41:21
@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens Unrelated to above: Been looking around but can't find anything. By any chance, would someone know a library for graph rewriting (or at least graph matching) in C (or Lua)? I've found regraph for python (built upon networkx), but would not want to reimplement it if possible 🙂

@_discord_218985411676995584:t2bot.io.synchro The only thing that comes to mind in Lua would be luaGRAPH, although that is just a binding for graphviz, so I'm not sure how helpful it'll be for your usecase 🙂

@_discord_218985411676995584:t2bot.io.synchro Very cool podcast 🙂
Will have to put this on while I'm working

@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens Been messing with stuff for a while. So far the best I've found is grandiso library, but that's only for matching, doesn't do rewriting.

@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens Probably makes most sense to just look at https://github.com/ihh/graphgram and try to work the way from there. It seems to be closest to what I want, and complete. However, it's quite hard to follow javascript code, so it's the hardest to use. Probably would make sense to try to rewrite it in python, or at least the core concept 08:42:05
@_discord_651018886661275659:t2bot.iobobbens Found another random project: https://github.com/jart/cosmopolitan
compiles C into binaries that run on multiple OS

@_discord_218985411676995584:t2bot.io.synchro That's trippy, wonder how well it works 20:30:26

@_discord_1206268880985530370:t2bot.ioalostcause_79867_18063 alright, I'm trying to make a vague rule that would allow me to punish people for mocking me about my use of light mode, but it just sounds weird 16:36:57
@_discord_347226337338982402:t2bot.ioPyroman A general guideline for rulemaking is no oddly specific rules 16:37:40
