@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | None of you ass holes better sell into $2.00 minimum lmao | 05:10:25 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | *until | 05:10:33 |
@varus0:matrix.org | In reply to @askguynoirpi:matrix.org None of you ass holes better sell into $2.00 minimum lmao how far do you think it will go | 05:15:24 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | Before the end of the month? I dunno man. I think $2.00 will happen within 3 months and $5.00 is doable before end of year. | 05:24:27 |
@varus0:matrix.org | anyone here use nano ledger | 05:43:41 |
@varus0:matrix.org | whats the point of a ledger should i use one | 05:43:47 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | I use d'cent. It's good but it's only useable with Android. I kinda regret choosing it because of that. Cold wallets add a layer of security to approve transactions with a device that connects to as few wireless networks as possible. | 05:57:50 |
@varus0:matrix.org | so a cold wallet is safer than a hot wallet? | 05:58:56 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | As long as you maintain your passwords offline and have a secure place to store them and the cold wallet they can be much much safer yes. I'd say cold wallets are best for whatever amount of crypto you intend to hold for many many years without trading in the immediate future. Get a home safe or security box to store them and you're golden | 06:05:03 |
@varus0:matrix.org | right so you kind of treat it like a physical asset at that point | 06:13:09 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | Pretty much yeah. They can be pretty handy because you could use the software they're paired with on multiple devices most times. You can see the contents of your wallet on 5 devices without worrying someone will take it because none of it can be move it without the addition of the cold wallet key. | 06:21:55 |
@varus0:matrix.org | so basically if you wanna deposit some crypto on it you connect it with your pc | 06:23:14 |
@varus0:matrix.org | like some kind of external hard drive | 06:23:18 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | You might not even need it for depositing crypto only withdrawing. Mine doesn't at least. But yeah more or less. | 06:30:17 |

@varus0:matrix.org | In reply to @askguynoirpi:matrix.org You might not even need it for depositing crypto only withdrawing. Mine doesn't at least. But yeah more or less. wym i thought you could both like a storage | 06:47:45 |
@varus0:matrix.org | i mean do people really need something like this? what are the chances you get hacked on the exchanges | 06:48:04 |
@askguynoirpi:matrix.org | In this day and age, extremely low but not impossible. Im old enough to remember mount gox though lol. There's other reasons though. You can pair cold wallets with metamask or other private wallets that can work with decentralized exchanges and decentralized exchanges will always have more listings for newer coins. So they can make that space more secure. | 07:02:33 |
@varus0:matrix.org | i dont get it | 07:06:57 |
