@phil.catalyst:matrix.orgPhilrrix: No idea. My first thought was to wonder whether it could be some Byte Order Mark thing. That's the sequence EF BB BF for UTF-8, so it's /not/ that, but /mayyyybe/ some kind of corruption of that could be behind it? Maybe. (But probably not.)03:03:50
@rrix:aelf.landrrixyeah i need to pcap it so i can see what the response looks like. curl sanitized it possibly03:05:09

Since Pantalaimon is in Python, you could add print statements or step through it, right? That would get past the TLS from the server

I find org-tempo convenient for starting a new code block, and I use C-c C-, to wrap a region I've already typed. The 'verse' block type is also useful when you don't want the code face, but you don't want your newlines to be collapsed in the org-to-html export.

many thanks :) This is exactly what I was looking for!

Yeah, I think that Synapse does validation there, but federation can't be controlled as easily.

You're welcome. I'll add that if you're writing code blocks, you probably want to be writing that message a compose buffer rather than the minibuffer (in case you hadn't noticed that was an option).

Hitting RET on an image pops up a new frame. This is not what one wants if using EXWM as window manager. Could ement simply display a buffer and list display-buffer-alist decide where to show it?

(I could change the binding, of course, which I will do if need be.)

If you want ement-room-image-show to call display-buffer and have the action argument be a configurable option, I don't object. Patches welcome.
