MMJD-MxO | Redacted or Malformed Event | 02:28:26 |
MMJD-MxO | In reply to @x:riot.ovh Alexey Murz Korepov: yes, as such: http://view.matrix.org/alias/%23matrix-static:matrix.org
I try to view room, that mirrored to matrix.org, by room_id, but got the error, example is https://view.matrix.org/room/!CxwBdgAlaphCARnKTA:ru-matrix.org/ So maybe via alias I got better results?
IIRC, the situation where a trailing slash "/ " being present and breaking i.e. ../alias/<[%23Room_Alias]¦[#Room_Alias]> links, and absent breaking i.e. ../room/<[%21RoomID]¦[!RoomID]/> is rather annoying, especially when manually typing¦splicing links (quicker than jumping to matrix.to and enabling loathsome Client-Side JavaScript, or when using i.e. an alias other than the canonical/main alias for various reasons).
I get that there might possibly be some i.e. Apache ¦nginx ¦et-cetera limitation additional to a sub-optimal config' for needing the trailing slash / , but it would be nice if adding it to the alias link did not cause an error.
It's possible this has already had a patch or work-around, so thanks¦thanks-in-advance. | 02:32:54 |

Mathijs | In reply to @x:riot.ovh Mathijs: PR got approved, gonna do a round of testing today and then should be release time this week are you going to be able to make the twim deadline? | 10:17:09 |
Mathijs | also: are you planning on releasing binaries, or should I build it myself again? | 10:17:25 |
Mathijs | (I'm fine building it, but it does make my life a little easier) | 10:17:40 |
Michael (t3chguy) | hmm, what time is the TWIM deadline :D? | 10:23:40 |
Michael (t3chguy) | I will not be releasing binaries as I'm foremost supporting docker | 10:24:17 |
Mathijs | that's alright | 10:25:04 |
| * Mathijs is secretly planning on extracting it from the docker container | 10:25:16 |
Mathijs | or, you know, I'll just build it like I did last time | 10:25:35 |
Michael (t3chguy) | I wouldn't mind making the binaries if I didn't have to ship that + static resources | 10:25:45 |
Michael (t3chguy) | if in future I embed the static resources in the binary then sure | 10:25:53 |
Mathijs | In reply to @x:riot.ovh hmm, what time is the TWIM deadline :D? something something 4 PM benpa time IIRC? | 10:25:54 |
| * Michael (t3chguy) is in benpa time :D | 10:26:01 |
Michael (t3chguy) | Should be doable, though am under the weather so shall see | 10:26:13 |
Mathijs | hope you feel better soon! | 10:31:03 |
Mathijs | I'll wait patiently | 10:31:09 |
