@max:kamax.ioMaximusAlright, this is it19:16:51
@max:kamax.ioMaximusTravis, please don't answer that19:17:01
@jason:zemos.netJasonlol, sorry19:17:18
@park:mgp.ax.lt@park:mgp.ax.lt So, a bit off of your topic.
Did synapses update to v1 break anything related to mxisd?
19:17:34
@max:kamax.ioMaximusand Jason, shush, again.19:17:44
@max:kamax.ioMaximusNV handle their project however they want and we will all respect that19:18:02
@max:kamax.ioMaximusIf Travis doesn't want to be friendly or helpful, that is his prerogative and everyone is free to make their own opinion about it, having to dig source code to show where the problem lies instead of them doing their homework before claiming another project is non-compliant19:19:20
@max:kamax.ioMaximusMatthew is not here and has no mean to use his right to reply back to any accusion or aother matter, so we won't talk about him19:20:02
@travis:t2l.ioTravisR Maximus: I'd appreciate it if you didn't slander me in return, particularly if you're not going to let me address false accusations from others. 19:20:24
@jason:zemos.netJason It seems that compliance is whatever they want. Perhaps phrase the issue as "how can the error message of an identity server get conveyed back to the end user" 19:20:27
@jason:zemos.netJasonYou can also offer a patch applied to synapse included in the mxisd install package as another means19:21:35
@max:kamax.ioMaximusSo, subject closed19:23:07
@max:kamax.ioMaximusmxisd will be updated now that the spec is out to handle the endpoint better, but never was non-compliant. synapse does not handle the endpoint gracefully for the end-user which for now will remain in the dark about what failed exactly and how to solve it. I'll keep an eye on the two issues linked by Travis on the matter and I'll update the wiki entry accordingly19:25:31
@max:kamax.ioMaximusJason: stop being a douche.19:26:14
@jason:zemos.netJason @max:kamax.io: Again my apologies; not just trying to stir shit. It just seems from my perspective as a server developer not wanting to make this same mistake, this is a trivial issue which could've taken a more accommodating direction. 19:28:09
@max:kamax.ioMaximus Jason: Then I'm looking forward to test construct ASAP with mxisd :) let us know when you implemented some of the endpoints 19:31:52

What is the Identity server supposed to use id_server for? it's a new key and is mandatory
21:50:17
@travis:t2l.ioTravisRThat's a documentation bug21:50:44

@max:kamax.ioMaximus changed the room topic to "Federated Matrix Identity Server | https://github.com/kamax-matrix/mxisd | Latest release: v1.4.5 | Privacy Flamebearer in Matrix since 2017" from "Federated Matrix Identity Server | https://github.com/kamax-matrix/mxisd | Latest release: v1.4.4 | Privacy Flamebearer in Matrix since 2017".22:27:13

@park:mgp.ax.lt@park:mgp.ax.lt Yo max,
is it normal for the website/template what shows up when i click on the link in a confirmation email,
to show up as html code?
13:30:34
@max:kamax.ioMaximusI'm not sure I follow where the HTML code is visible - in the email? in the browser?13:52:15
@park:mgp.ax.lt@park:mgp.ax.lt

Email looks fine;

"Hello there!

You or a server on your behalf requested to validate your email.

If it was really you who made this request, you can click on the following link to complete the verification of your email address:

Complete email verification

If you didn't make this request, you can safely disregard this email."

the web page linked above however displays as code, in the browser.
