Maximus | Alright, this is it | 19:16:51 |
Maximus | Travis, please don't answer that | 19:17:01 |
Jason | lol, sorry | 19:17:18 |
@park:mgp.ax.lt | So, a bit off of your topic. Did synapses update to v1 break anything related to mxisd? | 19:17:34 |
Maximus | and Jason, shush, again. | 19:17:44 |
Maximus | NV handle their project however they want and we will all respect that | 19:18:02 |
Maximus | If Travis doesn't want to be friendly or helpful, that is his prerogative and everyone is free to make their own opinion about it, having to dig source code to show where the problem lies instead of them doing their homework before claiming another project is non-compliant | 19:19:20 |
Maximus | Matthew is not here and has no mean to use his right to reply back to any accusion or aother matter, so we won't talk about him | 19:20:02 |
TravisR | Maximus: I'd appreciate it if you didn't slander me in return, particularly if you're not going to let me address false accusations from others. | 19:20:24 |
Jason | It seems that compliance is whatever they want. Perhaps phrase the issue as "how can the error message of an identity server get conveyed back to the end user" | 19:20:27 |
Jason | You can also offer a patch applied to synapse included in the mxisd install package as another means | 19:21:35 |
Maximus | So, subject closed | 19:23:07 |
Maximus | mxisd will be updated now that the spec is out to handle the endpoint better, but never was non-compliant. synapse does not handle the endpoint gracefully for the end-user which for now will remain in the dark about what failed exactly and how to solve it. I'll keep an eye on the two issues linked by Travis on the matter and I'll update the wiki entry accordingly | 19:25:31 |
Maximus | Jason: stop being a douche. | 19:26:14 |
Jason | @max:kamax.io: Again my apologies; not just trying to stir shit. It just seems from my perspective as a server developer not wanting to make this same mistake, this is a trivial issue which could've taken a more accommodating direction. | 19:28:09 |
Maximus | Jason: Then I'm looking forward to test construct ASAP with mxisd :) let us know when you implemented some of the endpoints | 19:31:52 |
mkatee | Redacted or Malformed Event | 20:46:06 |
| @marcus:binux.de left the room. | 21:01:56 |
Maximus | TravisR: https://matrix.org/docs/spec/identity_service/r0.2.0.html#post-matrix-identity-api-v1-validate-email-requesttoken What is the Identity server supposed to use id_server for? it's a new key and is mandatory | 21:50:17 |
TravisR | That's a documentation bug | 21:50:44 |
TravisR | (the field shouldn't exist - ignore it there) | 21:54:07 |
| Maximus changed the room topic to "Federated Matrix Identity Server | https://github.com/kamax-matrix/mxisd | Latest release: v1.4.5 | Privacy Flamebearer in Matrix since 2017" from "Federated Matrix Identity Server | https://github.com/kamax-matrix/mxisd | Latest release: v1.4.4 | Privacy Flamebearer in Matrix since 2017". | 22:27:13 |
Maximus | Release v1.4.5
@room A new release for mxisd integrating the Matrix 1.0 spec changes related to Identity Service. This release also enhance the Debian package that will from now on restart the mxisd service on upgrade.

Maximus | I'm not sure I follow where the HTML code is visible - in the email? in the browser? | 13:52:15 |
@park:mgp.ax.lt | Email looks fine;
