@sharparam:matrix.sharparam.com | this is the config file: https://gist.github.com/Sharparam/126534a247197a9936123f46c4c2c385
didn't see any domain configs elsewhere | 05:00:34 |
Maximus | which version of mxisd are you using? | 05:01:34 |
@sharparam:matrix.sharparam.com | 1.4.0 (the latest tag from docker image) | 05:01:53 |
Maximus | and synapse? | 05:02:28 |
@sharparam:matrix.sharparam.com | 0.99.3 | 05:02:35 |
Maximus | Your config is right then... I'll have a look now if I can reproduce. Did you upgrade your install or is this a fresh one? | 05:05:32 |
@sharparam:matrix.sharparam.com | fresh install | 05:05:49 |
Maximus | Sharparam: I've reproduced it, thanks for the report | 05:16:04 |
Maximus | will fix ASAP | 05:16:06 |
@sharparam:matrix.sharparam.com | nice :) what was the issue? | 05:16:23 |
Maximus | given your logs, your install is working anyway, so you can skip it for now | 05:16:36 |
Maximus | the issue is that signatures are done a bit different, and synapse doesn't seem to like it even tho they are valid | 05:16:54 |
Maximus | just need to adapt so it works always | 05:17:05 |
@sharparam:matrix.sharparam.com | right, so what parts would be not working? | 05:18:12 |
Maximus | 3PID resolution | 05:18:34 |
Maximus | Sharparam: can you try the new latest please? | 06:07:46 |
@tx:junta.pl | Hello. I have question unrelated to update. I am successively adding more workers to my synapse. I want to add synapse.app.user_dir workers, but I am already using mxisd user dir feature. I set up DNS overwrite to my synapse http local port. When I set up user dir workers, should I change mxisd config to point to one of workers ports instead of synapse port? | 06:17:55 |
Maximus | are talking about client or server override? | 06:19:06 |
@tx:junta.pl | I am talking about this: https://github.com/kamax-matrix/mxisd/blob/master/docs/features/directory.md#dns-overwrite | 06:19:44 |
Maximus | then I think so, but I never tried with workers | 06:22:04 |
@tx:junta.pl | It would be nice experiment then. 😀 | 06:22:33 |
Maximus | Indeed! | 06:22:43 |
@tx:junta.pl | I can skip that worker, but my server has quite many cores, but single core performance is not so great. I would love to put as many work away from main thread, as I can. | 06:26:13 |
Maximus | yep | 06:26:27 |
Maximus | I have no idea how directory request are handled by the workers, so no idea if it will even make a difference, but hopefully it is cached or something | 06:26:52 |

Maximus | Release v1.4.2
@room This release fixes some edge cases when signatures may not be strictly valid on 3PID lookups. If you already upgrade to v1.4.0 or v1.4.1 and inviting people by email fails, or just regular lookups, update to this release. Else you're good.

@iodine:halogen.city | Just a small question, is there any time frame in which we can expect to see mxisd updated to Java 11? I've set up mxisd with Amazon Corretto Java 8, but would like to see mxisd support newer OpenJDK packages as their introduced into more distributions as stable packages. | 08:57:22 |
Maximus | Our reference is Debian, so whenever OpenJDK is set to 11 in Debian stable, we'll also switch | 08:57:58 |
@iodine:halogen.city | It's coming up in Debian Buster. | 08:59:07 |
