@fractal:matrix.org | someone commented that the Korg i3 I want doesn't sound as realistic in piano as other brands | 18:30:13 |
@fractal:matrix.org | I was like oh no | 18:30:15 |
@fractal:matrix.org | :( | 18:30:16 |
@fractal:matrix.org | i thought you can't go wrong with a Korg | 18:32:00 |

Ruettelplatte | In reply to @fractal:matrix.org :( I don't know a lot of keyboards (I know about synthesizers-programming, but I worked with software synthesizers so far). But I think these Korg keyboards are very expensive, bulky and heavy. Since you like piano sounds I want to introduce to "Pianoteq". That is a software-synthesizer that emulates real pianosound (of popular pianos). The pianos are phyical modelled, there are no waveform-databanks or somethng like this. That means, the application is very small (41,2 mb) it sounds aboluletely awesome and it actually runs on linux. And you can use it with every MIDI-controlller (weighted and non-weighted ;) ). In the "STAGE" version it only costs 157 $ (I only know the €-price and converted it). With the more expensive versions you can create your own pianos (with many physically parameters -> how high/big/open is your piano how strong is the tension of the strings and s.o.). | 11:02:27 |

@fractal:matrix.org | I tried some web apps with my current keyboard | 17:02:59 |
@fractal:matrix.org | the delay is distracting | 17:03:05 |

@fractal:matrix.org | I would love to have a Bluetooth midi keyboard, with the ability to use even an Android app as a sound module | 17:06:32 |
@fractal:matrix.org | :( | 17:06:34 |
@fractal:matrix.org | that would go great actually with the presonus studio monitors with bluetooth | 17:10:20 |
