jokeefe | That is a fair statement qsrmvt . The rollout moved over to meshboston.net and the MassMesh Outreach channel. Some new nodes in Somerville, Belmont and Salem and some outreach events (MIT Swapfest/Brookline Day). | 14:52:55 |

jokeefe | Our Yggrasil exit node has changed. It is now 200:83a1:3b1a:e7af:4b46:6169:8435:9280. You can update your settings, but there are a few issues we are working out. Hope to have an update soon. | 19:42:38 |

jokeefe | Exit node works from my Mesh node. Please change your gateway to 200:83a1:3b1a:e7af:4b46:6169:8435:9280. Instructions how to do that are at https://massmesh.org/wiki/index.php?title=Node_Setup#Connecting_to_an_Internet_Gateway | 19:40:02 |

jokeefe | Got this suggestion from Newport Wireless Mesh:
I'm sharing this info in case other communities outside of Newport Wireless Mesh may find it useful. The Aruba AP175 is a high-power, stable, electrically protected outdoor access point that I recently ported to OpenWrt, and I hope other communities might get good use out of it. It's old hardware, but very available, and for multiple reasons will likely enjoy long-term supportability (ath9k, 128M RAM / 16M NOR).
Newport Wireless Mesh will continue to use Aruba AP175s that I have personally flashed.
Van Tech Corner (THANK YOU, VAN!) did a video explaining how, given an Aruba AP175 in unknown state, we can use a Raspberry Pi or CH341A and 16-pin Pomona chip clip to reflash the Aruba AP175 to a custom U-Boot compatible with OpenWrt 23 and onwards:

hurricos | @jokeefe I'm here too ;^) | 20:25:40 |
hurricos | jokeefe: I should say. | 20:25:45 |
hurricos | I'd like to note, the how-to listed there are now outdated: you no longer need to open the case to install OpenWrt, since David Bauer (@blocktrron) worked out the existence of netget in the OEM FW, and that go (when pointed at a proper executable) bypasses the signature check wrapper. | 20:27:21 |
