fwiw, I’m building on docker, because of some permission issues with npm and ChromeOS

I'm not quite grasping where _context10 is getting it’s methods

task: function () {
var _task15 = _asyncToGenerator(
/*#__PURE__*/
regeneratorRuntime.mark(function _callee10(ctx, _task14) {
var accounts, from, transaction;
return regeneratorRuntime.wrap(function _callee10$(_context10) {
  while (1) {
    switch (_context10.prev = _context10.next) {

      // ... other cases ...

      case 9:
        transaction = _context10.sent;
        transaction.from = from;
        transaction.gasPrice = network.gasPrice || DEFAULT_GAS_PRICE;
        _context10.t0 = getRecommendedGasLimit;
        _context10.t1 = web3;
        _context10.next = 16;
        return transaction.estimateGas();```

i think the npm run build is failing because it can’t find babel globally, though it is included in node_modules.
npm run extract-roles && babel -d dist src --copy-files

Hi @stwoh no much I can help here cause I’m not familiar with chromeOS, but in windows pc I needed to install windows-build-tools migth be something similar happening here. Hope it helps you

06:59:06@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <stwoh>

thanks for taking a look. I got it to build the container by specifying npx babel .... it appears my build isn’t finding go-ipfs for some reason, so i’ve attempted to install it manually. might need to start with an ipfs container and add node there.

Hey @stwoh this PR will fix your problem with node script extract-roles. You can build aragonCLI yourself or wait, in the next few days we plan to release a new version for the agent app that will include this change

The previous releases don’t have this change, it’s only on master, @stwoh you can pull and try again 🙈

cool! thanks guys!

17:10:17@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <stwoh>

I'm getting a different error after building with compose. I’ll try with your new version on the build I had going last night. This version is failing at to start IPFS when running aragon run and I’m not quite sure how/why. Even after I manually installed go & go-ipfs.

17:13:26@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <stwoh>

you can build this ^ container with docker-compose up in the main dir and then docker-compose run --rm ar-memdues /bin/bash will get you to the cmd line inside the container where you can run aragon run

hello, I am looking for some information about dao governance

19:46:43@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabriele.rigo>

I would like to get confirmation that an aragon dao can execute any type of transaction on any smart contract

19:47:01@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabriele.rigo>

provided that the smart contract is bundled into an aragon-compatible dapp

19:47:56@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabriele.rigo>

and on this last one, I would like to understand whether I can add any dapp or the dapp has to be allowed permission by aragon

19:48:18@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabriele.rigo>

(if this is not the right chat, pls help me find the correct one)

you cannot yet execute any transaction in a dao. if it’s an accepted app to the aragon package manager, then you would be allowed to call the accompanying contract. To manage on aragon.org, you would need to have an approved app. I’m under the impression that you can add any package to your own package manager and utilize that manager in your dao, though I’m fuzzy on the details there.

It looks like my dapps and kit got deployed to staging, but creating a dao with my kit fails, though it works locally. I’ve updated aragon-cli so the error is no longer the gas limit but now
gas required exceeds allowance or always failing transaction
One question I have is does the reference to the custom apps in the kit need to change now that they are deployed to app_name.*open*.aragonpm.eth instead of app_name.aragonpm.eth as they are locally?

Do I need to use something other than apmNamehash("app_name")?

It doesn’t seem like it’s working to install a token-manager app to a dao on rinkeby:

aragon devchain --reset --environment aragon:rinkeby
aragon ipfs --environment aragon:rinkeby
dao new --environment aragon:rinkeby
dao install 0x8B249729Bbcc8e124C790538B102B977B86fD7b9 token-manager --app-init none  --environment aragon:rinkeby

@stwoh thank you for the reply.

15:00:57@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <danielconstantin>

@cslarson works for me:

PS C:\Users\daniel> aragon dao install 0x8B249729Bbcc8e124C790538B102B977B86fD7b9 token-manager --app-init none --envir

Are you keeping the aragon ipfs process alive the whole time? (Btw, the --environment flag doesn’t do anything for the ipfs or devchain commands)

15:02:21@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <danielconstantin>

reference to the custom apps
Depends on the apps, the “core” apps are deployed to aragonpm.eth, see https://github.com/aragon/deployments/tree/master/environments/rinkeby#aragon-apps

Starting IPFS at port: 5001
(node:8) UnhandledPromiseRejectionWarning: Error: spawn /home/dockar/node_modules/go-ipfs/bin/ipfs ENOENT

@stwoh , looks like the CLI is looking for the go-ipfs binary at /home/dockar/node_modules/go-ipfs/bin/ipfs and it cannot find it.
It also looks like the CLI lives at /home/aragon-cli/ so I assume the go-ipfs bin should be at /home/aragon-cli/node_modules/go-ipfs/bin/ipfs 🤔
Can you try to run this from the aragon-cli dir instead of dockar? I suspect is not working because you installed the cli from source, but did not link it with npm link (not sure)

15:20:19@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <danielconstantin>

@jorge I’m getting this when compiling the Agent app contracts: Maximum call stack size exceeded
Have you ever seen this/ any suggestions?
I think is a problem with node’s stack size: https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/1403/how-do-i-fix-javascript-stack-overflows-when-compiling-very-large-file-with-solc but I’m not sure how to change it globally

15:23:26@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <danielconstantin>

@gabriele.rigo you can publish any dapp to open.aragonpm.eth or publish your own APM Registry

19:36:11@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <danielconstantin>

(fixed my call stack issue with node --stack-size=4096 .\node_modules\truffle\build\cli.bundled.js compile)

20:30:52@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <bingen>

hey @danielconstantin I had that issue and ended up using this solution:
