issue #718: With buffering issues, Shortwave can stop the play and never resume it
I encounter this issue very often on my Librem 5 Linux phone. It happens especially when I play a radio station when on WiFi, and when the WiFi gets out of reach the phone switches to 4G internet. The only way then to start playing a radio station again is by totally closing the Shortwave app and starting it again.

opened issue #725: Improve controls on lock screen
I use Shortwave on a Librem 5 Linux phone.
When I start playing a station, and lock the screen, the station keeps playing. Great.
On the lock screen I see controls for the station I'm playing:
Here I have some requests and remarks:
- I can touch the pause button in the middle. This stops the playing of the station. However, it also removes the controls from the lock screen, so I cannot start playing the station without unlocking the screen. This is inconvenient. Please do not remove the controls when stopping playing the station.
- I think that the symbol for stopping the station should be a rectangle, and not the pause symbol, because you cannot really pause playing a station. You can stop and start again however.
- The other buttons (back to begin, 10 sec back, 30 sec forward, forward to next) do not work, obviously, because you cannot do this on a radio station. These buttons do not do anything, so the should all be displayed disabled (or maybe totally removed, if possible).

For context, this info does nothing besides annoying people when they update the screenshots and forgot to update these numbers.

Yes, but this will make any frontend not supporting appstreamcli 1.0 fail to find an author. I dont think there many front ends supporting 1.0.

Ah damn it. What a mess. Flathub and GNOME Software 46 display it finely, but GNOME Software 45 fails.

issue #720: Recording?
On Ubuntu, above the titles list it's mentionned that songs are recorded in "music" directory (/home/[user]/Music/). On Fedora it should be the same.

djtexcarr | I love using shortwave on all my pc's. I am trying a kind of challenging install and having trouble. I was given an old fujitsu p series lifebook thats about 20 years old. I thought it might be a good little media player. I have installed linux q4os debian and it really works better than I expected. I am trying to install shortwave...the usual methods flatpak and etc do not work. I was having good luck I thought trying a manual build but got hung on rust. By default the OS installs rust 1.63 in root and the build sees it, but it needs 1.64. I can install rust new version from rustup but then it installs it in another directory and the build cannot find it. | 23:36:48 |
