enigma9o7 | hardware acceleration is likely blocked by default in chrome/electron for the gpu on that machine | 19:07:11 |
enigma9o7 | whereas if its fast in firefox, firefox is likely using it. | 19:07:20 |
enigma9o7 | there are likely command line switches you can use to force enable hardware acceleration on blacklisted gpu, to see if it works well enough to use. | 19:07:47 |
thowzzy | interesting, good take | 19:10:15 |
thowzzy | what are those commands? | 19:10:22 |

enigma9o7 | --ignore-gpu-blocklist maybe | 19:31:16 |
enigma9o7 | --enable-features=VaapiVideoDecoder,VaapiVideoEncoder,CanvasOopRasterization,VaapiIgnoreDriverChecks maybe | 19:32:00 |
enigma9o7 | hmmm for vaapi on nvidia you might have to have some other pakage installed too, at least on linux | 19:32:45 |

Ricardo Duarte | I've asked this question before and was explained that, when i refuse a invite, the room doesn't leave element-web due to a issue with Synapse that doesn't send it downsync.
Yet, app.element.io does not have the same behaviou. Does it have a unique patch, or is matrix.org itself patched ? | 20:28:41 |

enigma9o7 | well i'd test from command line first, but once you know what you want, sure modify your shortcut | 20:54:31 |
