I remember hearing something about... England I think, apparently banning gas ovens because people were using them to kill themselves; turning it on and sticking their head inside. This was 1900s or something.
You'd think they'd investigate why people are killing themselves and attempt to fix the root cause, but I guess that's too sensible. Governments "solve" the problem by getting it away from where it will cause a traffic jam or something. Like the "sneeze guards" near the train platforms in Japan. | 08:54:20 |
