@reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurmI've heard there are special editions00:55:25
@reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurmI don't know how they differ from the standard editions though00:55:36
@reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurmI know some D&D books have variant covers for the special editions00:55:47
* @reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurm personally has a limited-run Ryuutama rulebook from the kickstarter00:56:31
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeOh, yeah, I don't know what the covers of the various special editions look like. I know some of the remaster editions look like they have pencil sketch covers and some of the base 2e books look like they have red leatherette covers, but I don't know all of the various covers. 00:57:23
@reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurmthe red leatherette covers might be the special editions00:57:58
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeI think those were special editions for the base 2e, not the remaster. I saw some people complaining that the remaster was different. One of the changes between 2e and the 2e remaster is that the 2e books have a red spine and all the 2e remaster books are going to have a green spine. 01:02:39
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeBut that's the regular editions. But since they're going to have a green spine, I'd think they'd go with a green leatherette, but they haven't said that (that I know of).01:03:15
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeSo the ORC License books will have a green back.01:05:51
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeWell, a green spine anyway.01:06:01
@reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurmDoes anyone here play Pathfinder Society? If so, how do they check that your PDFs are actually yours if you're playing in person -- specifically, can you use an internet alias on your Paizo account rather than your real (i.e. meatspace) name or do you need to have your real name on the PDF watermarks?18:13:53
@reedlindwurm:cybre.spacereedlindwurmwondering whether i should change my account name before i redeem my newly bought bundle18:14:10
@snrub:chat.nerdout.onlinesnrub joined the room.23:24:27
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeNo idea. I can tell you that the four things they put as watermarks are "real name" (as listed on the account), order number, account email address, and date of the download. I have no experience with Society though. 23:43:44

@klaatu:matrix.orgklaatu You can use any name for Pathfinder Society. I've never been asked for identification at events. reedlindwurm 01:23:11

@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeHow frequently do you expect combat do occur in a game? In my previous campaign I ran, I generally had a combat every session, even if just a round or two near session's end, but I question whether that was overdoing it. 23:42:58
@chie11:matrix.organdreiDepends on what kind of adventure you.re playing23:43:56
@chie11:matrix.organdreiIf the players like combat almost every session (i do), all is good23:44:56
@wolfmunroe:matrix.orgwolfmunroeWell, I am recruiting for a new in-person campaign presently. I have three players presently, would like to get five ideally. I've asked the existing three how frequently they expect combat, but I'm also kind of looking for a general feel on the subject. 23:46:53
@chie11:matrix.organdreiFrom my limited experience, 70% fighting and 30% other stuff is liked by the majority23:51:12
@chie11:matrix.organdreiAt least the majority i.ve been hanging out with23:51:47

@themadcodger:roguesrepast.cafeThe Mad CodgerI'd also be clear about this in your Session 0. There are some groups that are completely happy to roleplay the whole time and rarely do combat. I'd be bored to tears, but to each their own. But having set clear expectations in Session 0 helps avoid headaches down the road.00:46:43

@rhamphoryncus:matrix.orgrhamphoryncusMaybe 70% or 80% of our sessions have combat but there's lots of roleplay mixed in there too, so the total amount of roleplay is higher than would be assumed23:22:19
@rhamphoryncus:matrix.orgrhamphoryncusOccasionally we'll have a downtime session that's just screwing around. Selling loot, buying gear, getting drunk23:23:04
@rhamphoryncus:matrix.orgrhamphoryncushmm probably 80% or 90% have combat then23:24:27

@expert:matrix.orgexpertGonna GM "For a few flowers more" tomorrow and we are aiming for a one session run so we can get back to our usual schedule. Anyone got any tips for running it?15:04:53
