Wouter Verhelst | and it's the usual "Service unavailable", which indeed means it hasn't synced yet (as explained by the FAQ) | 10:45:01 |
Wouter Verhelst | not sure why your "RELEASED:" email was sent already then though. | 10:45:26 |
Wouter Verhelst | it shouldn't have been | 10:45:48 |
Wouter Verhelst | (not the end of the world, it will eventually be synced, but this is a bit confusing...) | 10:46:06 |
Dan Jenkins | In reply to @wouter:fosdem.orgOh interesting. Maybe just put something like ~2 minutes of no audio/video of presenter - just so people know it’ll come back? | 10:47:44 |
Wouter Verhelst | In reply to @dan:nimblea.pesure. Refresh my memory though, which talk was that? | 10:48:27 |
boegel (Kenneth Hoste) | In reply to @wouter:fosdem.orgMaybe related to it being released fir a 2nd time, after you did a reset on my request because the video that turned up initially had audio sync issues? | 10:48:41 |
Wouter Verhelst | aaaahh, yeah, that would definitely be it | 10:48:52 |
Wouter Verhelst | (it's possible to delete a video before we do a reset, but I decided not to bother because it's too involved and not really worth it) | 10:49:36 |
boegel (Kenneth Hoste) | ok, clear, I need to be a bit more patient... hopefully the video is OK now, no more audio sync issues (looked fine in review system) | 10:51:43 |
Wouter Verhelst | I'm pretty sure it will be fine, yes | 10:51:53 |
Dan Jenkins | In reply to @wouter:fosdem.orghttps://fosdem.org/2024/schedule/event/fosdem-2024-3646-using-gstreamer-to-build-real-time-applications-with-golang/ | 10:52:03 |
Wouter Verhelst | Dan Jenkins: done. You won't see it in the review interface, but when you release the video the slide will be added during transcode. | 10:54:14 |
@libv:matrix.org changed their display name from [K]libv to libv. | 13:09:00
manuel joined the room. | 15:21:47
manuel | Hi, I messed up my review by setting the wrong end time. The video ended up too long. Is it still possible to fix? | 15:22:41 |
manuel | The video in question: https://video.fosdem.org/2024/h1302/fosdem-2024-1873-debugging-http-3-upload-speed-in-firefox.av1.webm | 15:23:56 |
Matthew | Wouter Verhelst: do you know if my vid needs to be unwedged somehow? it's been processing since 8am or so (and meanwhile the press has picked up on it, albeit using a copy we put on youtube, and i'm feeling a bit guilty that the fosdem copy isn't live: https://techcrunch.com/2024/02/07/whatsapp-is-preparing-to-roll-out-third-party-chat-support/) | 15:30:45 |
jklowden | In reply to @wouter:fosdem.org Hmph. I'm supposed to read the documentation? Seriously, thanks for correcting me. I edited the video. The only question is have is about something it said upon submission: The audio channel should be changed to channel 0 I didn't mean to change the audio channel. IMO the audio quality is great. | 16:38:45 |
Wouter Verhelst | In reply to @matthew:matrix.org It's not stuck, it just takes a long time. We've had talks taking 8 hours. I have configured the system so that we have high throughput, rather than quick turnaround per individual talk. It does mean you need to wait a bit though. | 16:39:07 |
Wouter Verhelst | I'm not at home right now, but I'll have a look when I do get home to see if there's anything I can do to speed things up a bit. | 16:39:48 |
Wouter Verhelst | In reply to @jklowden:attendees.fosdem.org You're not 🙂 That message is indeed confusing. It's because at the point where it is generated, we don't know whether the requested channel and the old channel differ. This is something that's on my to-do list to fix. Channel 0 is the default channel though, so it's the correct thing if you liked the default. | 16:47:43 |
jklowden | Excellent, thanks. I approved the video. | 17:00:03 |
Matthew | In reply to @wouter:fosdem.orgcool, fair eonugh :) | 17:03:36 |
Matthew | In reply to @wouter:fosdem.org* cool, fair enough :) | 17:03:41 |
TravisR | hey folks, my talk had desynced audio in the preview and had it corrected, but now the released artifact is desynced badly. Is there a way to unpublish/send it back for review? | 20:13:31 |
Wouter Verhelst | which talk is that? | 21:05:57 |
Wouter Verhelst | nvm, there is only one talk by anyone named "Travis", and it's about matrix. I'm guessing it's that one :-) | 21:08:16 |
Wouter Verhelst | done | 21:10:17 |
Wouter Verhelst | you'll get a new review invitation soon | 21:10:41 |
