Sidewalk Bitcoin | I dont have a password on BLW, I guess that's the compromise. I dont use it any more as it was kinda first gen and quite innovative for it's time... last year lol. Is you haven't used it I'd ditch it, in fact I'd ditch it anyway. I gave you 3 wallets earlier. Samourai is pure out and out Bitcoin... on-chain | 16:21:09 |
Sidewalk Bitcoin | Ok so it's like a try lolli come attention thing. I get it but still not sure where the email thing comes in | 16:21:09 |
Sidewalk Bitcoin | Not sure what happened there. Message out of sync. Samourai, on-chain, larger amounts/storage. Breeze and Phoenix both lightning But can also swap to on -chain in wallet. Both not custodial, both real nice but one super simple (phoenix) Breez adding extra features you prob never use like a pos. Those are the 3 I use. Lightning not meant for storage and for smaller amounts. If you're getting paid small amounts they will prob want lightning. Solution. Samourai on burner and stored safely. Day to day use one of the others and transfer for storage... | 16:28:09 |
harry_sync | Is it possible to transfer the coin over if its already on blw. I'll try one of the others | 22:27:29 |
harry_sync | I don't know what to try on any of these programs. Is phoenix called 'phoenix burst wallet' or is that something else? | 23:07:48 |
harry_sync | I can't find breeze | 23:07:59 |
harry_sync | OK now I've got samourai but I'm only trying to transfer the coin over from blw | 23:29:12 |
harry_sync | It'll take a while to figure out how | 23:30:02 |

Sidewalk Bitcoin | If wallets on same device then...
If on separate devices pretty much as above but use the Send qr code camera in BLW to capture qr recieve code in samourai and hit send NB. You have an option to set fees in Samourai. This affects transaction time... more you pay- quicker transaction. Fees set automatically by wallet for lightning To send to others (all wallets) same. You may occasionally run into issues sending larger amounts in lightning depending on settings/wallet. Those 2 really are amongst the best and worth checking out anyhow. I had loads and they've improved so much. | 00:26:41 |
harry_sync | Sending to samourai for 0.03 Sats, slower option | 14:34:16 |
harry_sync | Thanks. I seem to have sent it off from blw ok | 14:34:44 |

harry_sync | That seems to be done. I can delete blw now? | 15:20:02 |
harry_sync | And then I bury/stash that phone somewhere. What's the next program I use to manage my account from my main phone from now on? | 15:33:37 |
Sidewalk Bitcoin | Yes... delete. I would still get one of the others too as you may need a lightning wallet going forward for instant day to day use. No accounts to manage as far as I know unless you go down the custodial route but no need. Your wallet will keep a record of all transactions for that wallet. Theres also the Bitcoin block explorer to see transactions happening in real time. On my site theres a resource page with plenty of resources, one piece of software called Bitty Tax which might be of interest for "accounting" but not used it as need command prompt... on my list to get it installed tho... Bitcoin is all about being your own bank... financial manager, broker etc... Eliminating the need for "trusted" third parties. Ultimately, that and security of coins is most important now you're up n running and know how to transact. Definately look into a hardware wallet and securing seedphrase etc but you're burner phone should suffice to start just remember to keep it charged and updated. Stay in contact mate and good luck on your voyage through the rabbit hole 😉 https://sidewalkbitcoin.com/btc-resources/ | 16:01:03 |

harry_sync | Motorola doesn't support either of those lighting apps. So the lightnight wallet would be on my main phone (Huawei) and not the burner? | 17:32:22 |
Sidewalk Bitcoin | Yes. You want the lightning on regular phone for day to day use. Keep the Samourai for storage or main "savings" or hodling account | 17:53:40 |
harry_sync | OK this is starting to make sense now, thanks | 18:29:07 |
Sidewalk Bitcoin | Glad about that, takes a bit but then you fly. Here if you need us 😉 Be great if you give us an endorsement on your platforms or follow us on twitter @SidewalkBitcoin Cheers | 18:39:41 |
harry_sync | I shall. | 18:40:21 |
harry_sync | I'm kind of back to square one with phoenix acinq | 18:40:39 |
harry_sync | It's got all these options like new account or recovery phase and a whole bunch of others | 18:41:17 |
harry_sync | Or backup | 18:41:52 |
Sidewalk Bitcoin | New seeds etc for each wallet, often different words for same things ie seed words, seed phrase mnemonics phrase- all the same thing. Addresses in lightning remain same but Samourai gives you a new one every time for each new transaction... The seed phrases are needed to restore/ move to a new device etc. Passwords for access wallet, 2fa for security. Repeat each time for each wallet and store records clearly and separately and you should be ok. They all have their individual quirks. If you want to test out I'll give you my address, send a few sats and I'll return them straight away. Let me know | 19:04:48 |
harry_sync | In reply to @sidewalkbitcoin:matrix.orgI does that mean I need to restore | 19:55:12 |
