@icer:kde.orgIceR Bhushan Shah: kded5 is running, and the panel size is 11 inch 09:07:25
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan Shahno, not diagonal but height/width mm09:07:44
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan ShahI have suspicion that your panel driver is not reporting correct panel size to kscreen or something09:10:45

In reply to @bshah:kde.org
no, not diagonal but height/width mm
currently we are running on a surface pro. and finally we will use our device . which is about 243.5mm*178mm*7.0mm
09:10:57
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan Shahhttps://community.kde.org/Solid/Projects/ScreenManagement#Debugging_Information if you can gather information as shown here would be nice09:10:58
@jerry2021:matrix.orgjerry2021okay09:12:25
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan Shah namely important bit is Scale: 1 in kscreen-doctor output above 09:12:58
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan ShahI am curious why it fallbacks to no scale ^^09:13:05
@wangr:matrix.orgwangr joined the room.09:13:27
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan Shah you can set custom scale manually using kscreen-doctor output.1.scale.2 09:13:28
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan Shah or even kscreen-doctor output.1.scale.3 09:13:41
@icer:kde.orgIceRJing Apps are designed using 2K resolution, so we set the Scale to 109:20:32
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan ShahI might be wrong, but setting scale at app level sounds wrong09:21:47
@jerry2021:matrix.orgjerry2021that is the thing we are in trouble😂09:22:56
@icer:kde.orgIceRIs there a proper way to satisfy both Jing Apps09:23:42
@jerry2021:matrix.orgjerry2021how can we keep the system app in high resolution and make.the other apps scale to a useful resolution09:23:53
@jerry2021:matrix.orgjerry2021and in future we hope more and more apps can fit our hidpi device09:24:23
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan Shahyou are using kirigami I assume?09:24:22
@icer:kde.orgIceR
In reply to @bshah:kde.org
you are using kirigami I assume?
yes
09:24:45
@icer:kde.orgIceRbut, not all linux apps using kirigami09:25:13
@icer:kde.orgIceR changed their display name from icer to IceR.09:26:20
@bshah:kde.orgBhushan ShahSo I am not "expert" on scaling issues, but as far as I can tell, you need to keep global scale to whatever your screen resolution / DPI tells it instead of 1, that will ensure plasma scales correctly, as for applications instead of hardcoding width height and various things like that, use the Kirigami.Units or similar bits09:27:06
@jerry2021:matrix.orgjerry2021oh, we need to think about , if in this way, our system apps will need to use a lower resolution09:39:38
