@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinFor upload, maybe you could try DVUploader: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/5.5/user/dataset-management.html#command-line-dvuploader15:37:42

@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinNice. For downloads, I'm not sure... maybe write a script to download the files in batches.16:01:17

@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermOh wow. While digging into the code of sword2 server lib, it becomes pretty obvious this one needs a careful touch and some polish. The world moved a lot in the past 10 years since that code was written...17:04:12
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermLooks like in the late 2000s / early 2010s XML writing was a huge and complex task...17:05:11
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermSo people where happy to use libraries that made things easier. Like XOM... Even for tiny error docs. 17:06:04
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermAnd TIL I learned about Java try with resources... So handy when dealing with IO streams. Haven't touched those in a while...17:07:50
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermYet amazing these things from the good old days / ancient past in IT time horizons still work with today's Java 17:10:54
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermThat really is a huge benefit of this ecosystem17:11:11
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinYeah, try with resources is handy.17:19:23

@pacian:matrix.orgpacianhello I am getting this message when I try to publish a dataset. All details regarding DataCite has been verified and check. This was working prior to the upgrade to version 5.511:08:31
@pacian:matrix.orgpacianMeteorological site level data from the CLIMAITE project at Brandbjerg Denmark from 1 October 2005 to 31 December 2013 in AnaEE - Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystems (Developer Test) could not be published due to a failure to register, or update the Global Identifier for the dataset or one of the files in it. Contact support if this continues to happen.Jul 21, 2021, 11:05:27 AM UTC11:08:33
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinWhen something like this happens I usually check https://status.datacite.org13:42:37
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbin pacian: are you using a test account with DataCite on their test server? Or is it a real account on their real server? 13:43:19
@hken355:matrix.orgdoomtecx joined the room.13:44:29
@pacian:matrix.orgpacianI am using the test account with DataCite . Our Test Environment is on a Linode Cloud Environment : http://research.paciandev.com:8080/13:45:02

@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinOk. The two things I can think to do are to email support@datacite.org and to test the DataCite API outside Dataverse using curl. Actually, before you do either of those, anything interesting in server.log?13:50:22
@pacian:matrix.orgpacianThere is always something interesting in the server log. nothing that I can tell relating to DataCite or DOI?13:54:46
@pacian:matrix.orgpacianwhat curl command?13:56:00
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbin pacian: Dataverse uses the MDS API from DataCite. You can find curl commands here: https://support.datacite.org/docs/mds-api-guide 14:05:23
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbin poikilotherm: thanks for you comment on #7991. Any thoughts on continuing to use FontCustom? 14:23:03
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilotherm pdurbin one can try to setup a pipeline with fontcustom. The project seems dead though. 17:31:43
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinWhat would you use instead of FontCustom?17:32:59
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermI'd try some of those links I added17:36:18
@oliver:bertuch.namepoikilothermStill go with have a repo with a list of SVgs like you wrote17:36:45
@pdurbin:matrix.orgpdurbinOk, that's what I wasn't sure of... if those links do the same thing as FontCustom. Sounds like they do. Thanks.17:38:55
