MaxwellK	Custom map built with Hammer, scenery props from Team Fortress 2, motorcycle from SFM Workshop, particle effects from Portal 1, human model/parts from Workshop too.	21:38:20
MaxwellK	Then processed with GIMP for a desaturated look, with a mild heat haze effect and some sort of sun glare effect in the top right, didn't want it to be too glaringly obvious so it's kinda subtle.	21:39:04
MaxwellK	Could have done some interesting stuff with shadows at the back with the mountains (resized rocks from TF2), but the lighting on this was stupid enough with having to compile a custom map at the size limits of the Source engine.	21:39:56
MaxwellK	Rendered at 3840x2160, letterboxed in post, 1024DOF samples and 256 motion samples, the motion still looks a little... crap.	21:41:38
MaxwellK	Source Filmmaker's motion blur solution is brute force as anything and annoys me to no end, it just renders 256 (or how many ever samples you want) sub-frames between the current and last frame, then stacks them ontop of eachother in layers.	21:44:21

MaxwellK	Blender has a niiiiiice new solution in a recent Cycles update, can't remember how it works, but something like a 10x jump in performance, I need to look into how they achieved that actually.	21:49:12

MaxwellK	YouTube's compression is awful, tried to upload a WIP of an animation and YouTube's compression crushed all the dark colours into a dark grey blob where you can't pick anything apart.	02:41:55
